What are you taking about? You can't use the data on PSN to make new credit cards and falsify documents. By that logic I could take the phone book to get your name, address and phone number and use those. All the credit card info was encrypted and everyone who has been warned has either cancelled their debit and credit cards to get new ones or are watching their credit cards like a hawk. And once we get PSN back we change our passwords and they can't use our accounts. So what, my trol...

Ha!!!!! You wish. @ Vega75. No one is saying that you shouldn't be pissed but just make sure to direct your anger towards those that took you data rather then those who tried to keep it safe. You talk as if Sony had your data just sitting out in the open for anyone to pick up. Many systems in the world were thought to be unhackable. No one is safe.Besides there is nothing they can really do with you information and the credit card info was encrypted. They can't use it. Also everyone h...

I laugh at people who go on about Mircosoft giving them things. Mircosoft gave warrenties only after they couldn't lie anymore about RROD not existing. Also I don't get where the praise comes in that situation. If Mircosoft sold you a product that breaks half the time, they better damn well fix it for free. Just imagine you sell me junk and want me to pay for you to fix it for 2 weeks? And when they gave you a game after the outage they made sure and gave you a game that no one wanted...

Criminals do these things for themselves despite their pretense that it is for a cause. They tell themselves that it is rightous so they can sleep at night when the bad things start to happen. I once saw a movie where a man burned down the mill he worked at because he lost his job . He thought that he was justified but he never even considered the people he put out of work, the lives he messed up or the inconvenience he put everyone though. That is Annoymous.

Can I ask a question? Why is it that whenever this topic comes up it is Sony that handled it poorly? The hackers went out, stole from them, broke their security and boasted about it while posting how to hack the PS3 online. And when they retaliated they gave everyone else the keys letting every potential lowlife in. So I want to know what they should have done differently. Should they have rolled over so every two bit criminal would know that they can get anything by force? Should they have g...

If not for those SP games I wouldn't be able to get through the PSN drought. I never played the original Warhawk but I heqrd it was good. Will be looking out for this one.

Whoever did this is royally screwed. No joke. This time there will be no excuses and loopholes like with Geohot. Prison time for cyber terrorism. FBI can track you down and Sony won't have any mercy. You messed them up and now it's their turn to mess up your life or lives as the case may be.

I am glad your happy with people's misery. It must be fun to be a jerky jack@$$.@ Godmars290. Nothing is guaranteed but they will take more precautions this time a round. What concerns me is with all this breach of trust and hacking, Sony will probably keep the PS4 and NGP under lock and key to prevent this from happening again meaning stricter rules and protocols. You give people an inch and they take a yard.

This is crap. Sony already said all the credit card data is encrypted and no one can use it.Just stop it.

5394d ago 20 agree5 disagreeView comment

See. All credit cards were safe because they knowingly encrypted them. All that stress and flurry for nothing.I almost feel sorry for the people who did this. Sony is working with law enforcement and a security firm to hunt them down. When they find them they won't be merciful.Their will be no excuses this time like with Geohot.

Yeah this is just like RROD that lasted 3 years. Just stop!!!!!!!

Nah. They used to this type of abuse and ungratefulness by now. I think they have learned to get up and move on instead of wasting their time arguing with idiots. They need to rebuild the network and do damage control for all those affected. That is what is important right now

5394d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

Sigh. I just want this to end. First Geohot and constant updates, then Anon and their threats and now this. No one asked any of you to do this. We just wanted to play our PS3 and now it has become a chore, a source of stress. Sony will survive, They have tons of resources, manpower, money and experience to get through this but we the gamers and the people who have to clean up the mess suffer the most. I can just see the employees who had to come in on a long weekend to fix the mess these fool...

That is idiotic. There is no right way to deal with criminals. Do you think that anything Sony did would have made a difference. Sony told them no and they threw a temper tantrum. I am not sure how you can reason with the unreasonable. Why couldn't the hackers give up and try to make peace? Why couldn't they try to be reasonable from the start? Why did they resort to violence, extortion and lies? @ SpaceSquirrel i am sure they will lock the NGP with the strongest security on the mark...

Exactly what I have been saying. Sony knows by now that what ever they did they would take flack from it so they opted to do what would do the least damage to their system. We already heard a million times that they were not sure of the extent of the intrusion or even how bad it was and had to make sure they knew what the problem was going as far to hire an outside security firm to investigate.

If Sony had jumped the gun to say 'cancel your credit cards and shut down PS...

I laugh at the people who said they would be more reasonable if Sony had informed them sooner. Who do you really think you are fooling? Their would be the same amount of stupid articles and accusations whether they told you earlier or later. Sony just decided to take the 'shut down and find out what happened road' rather than the 'cuddle the insecure public with info you are not sure about' road. They would have taken a hit either way.

We don't know who the Beast is. And it can't be Cole because he claimed that he was running away from it with his family.

5394d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yes that is a rational decision. Give up my free PSN, tons of exclusives, all the media programs, all my PSN games I brought, all the money in my PSN account just because of something that happened this one time after 5 years of working service that was caused by jack@$$ hackers who don't give a $hit who they harm? Only if I have a hole in my head.

Wondered who would be the first idiot to do this. Now I know. Sony tore Geohot and Other OS claimers apart in court. So........ good luck with that.

5394d ago 4 agree4 disagreeView comment

Yeah, like that would have really got everyone off their backs. Who do you think you are fooling?
