This is good. Only a brainless fanboy wants Sony crushing MS. Competition is always good.
I'll just wait a second wave of exclusives before getting an XB1.
I call it gimmick, but even though I pre-ordered...
Another good thing of not being mandatory is that devs will only use it if they have a good idea.
They won't have the same pressure as they will probably have with Kinetic.
But the thing is that lots of people don't have many gaming mates. The older you get the more your friends stop playing.
That is my concern with Destiny, The Division and Driveclub.
@blackmanone,
if not timed, put in "paying hefty for"
Which is probably different from Quantum Break, which the game itself was funded, not exactly bought. At least from what I understood.
Nice that there will be lots of people online.
I got the feeling from all the interviews that they were still working on game mods. Maybe it is going to be more than than beating times and drifting
I can't really disagree. I have a Vita, but I'm not one of those that complain that Vita has no games. It has more games than I have time to play on the go. And considering the other stuff you can do outside, the time for gaming reduces even more.
Sad, but easy to understand though.
Vita is selling poorly, they can make more effort to bring it up next year.
PS4 can't lose momentum and they do need to announce more PS4 games.
That will have a PS4? Maybe two or three. Playing at the same time? Rarely.
I wonder how it will be playing solo. That's my only concern about the game.
I still play Pacific Rift every now and then! :)
The PS4 lauch line-up may a be little weaker (or not, whatever).
But take a look on what is coming:

I think they will look all the same.
@InTheLab
"So you never sat there wonder why you have to exit out of a game you're currently playing to view your game list on the 360?"
If I go to a game list, it is because I don't want to play the game I was playing before
"Or pull up the web browser on the PS3 in the middle of a game?"
I use a PC to browse. Like... mostly everybody
I just don't want any console rushing the production line to get one or weeks before the other.
Hell, nobody wants RRODs and YLODs
Lets' just chill out and play Beyond Two Souls, Dragon's Crown and Tearway in October/November =D
It would work so much better for PS4 if it was Puppeteer instead of Knack!
Calm down. Think about the console exclusives...
It may be disappointing, but it is not the end of the world. Infamous, Killzone... they still look great!
I agree 99%
But what if the 4GB Guerrilla had for Killzone were actually "4GB for games", not the total RAM?
Edit: I mean, then they used, like, 3GB for the game considering 1GB for the OS, or purely 4GB for the game?
One more: The Witness is using 5 GB.
Next-gen not even started and a game is already using half of the 1GB "flexible" back-up RAM?]
Call me skeptical too.
First thing I thought.
Still... it concerns me a little.
The simple idea of removing gaming power to have gimmicks on the OS is a tremendous let down
If true... meh, I always turned my back on gimmicks used in consoles (touch controls, motion, voice, kinetics, apps, sharing, social features).
I really hope Sony is not focusing on this type of rubbish in detriment of games.
I still want competition. Look at the last half of this generation. PS3 was/is being brilliant. How would it be with no competition? We don't know actually
But hey, calm down, I agree that MS really wanted to fuck us, but I just think both Sony and MS will push more if they are competing.
Edit: I want PS4 outselling, not crushing...
