The sniper shot is pretty awesome. That camouflage effect is pretty sweet.
Any best or hottest or w/e games of 2009 that does not have Killzone 2 in it is in total denial.
Killzone 2 has some very different environments like jungle or ice and snow like in the original. The multiple environments in killzone 1 is what made it appealing to me. Even multiplayer maps that are on the ISA planet or a different planet that has a different environment than Helgan would be great. I think then you could really compare it to the amazing jungle and jungle physics in crysis.
To compare a title with original titles that set benchmarks such as Halflife and Doom is a great compliment.

I have not played Fable II but my friend was obsessed big time with the first and was dying to get Fable II and I talked to him recently and I asked him how it was and his response was meh... (My friend is easily impressed too) he said something like the colors were to vibrant and described it like killing people in a candy gumdrop forest...

I read all of the story/timeline on the killzone site. And I am glad I did, it makes the entire KZ universe much interesting and easier to enjoy and understand.
The word Helgast being a combination of Helgan and Hast (meaning spirit or ghost). It's interesting the details that have gone into the entire storyline just before KZ1.
