Very good job. A-Z order was a smart idea. A true countdown would have just caused arguments.
I'd have to agree on people watching someone play this game and going straight to the wikis on demon's souls types to cash in or upgrade.
My roommate watched a while and days later I'm playing a section again, and he's like, "Didn't you already beat this section?"
The want to upgrade your stats to use better weapons or upgrade your weapons to progress in the story or kill the invading black phantom keeps you playing over and over again.
I was expecting this game to look good, but not this good. This is probably my favorite series in video games.

I think there is quite a bit of difference between this and a movie. I am not personally offended by this but I know people will be. The major factor (Based on what I saw) was that you are playing as one of the terrorists. You have no choice but to play as a terrorist and shoot innocent people (maybe you don't have to shoot, but you get the gist). In a movie you are witnessing an event more than likely.

Try playing Okami if you want "art".
As for COD4 and MW2, they may do more "emotional" stuff than most FPS but it is far from "emotional art" or a tragedy that most RPGs usually include in a storyline.

I think the term "art" is being flung around too loosly here. I would call it good writing or scripting. Again, for an FPS. One can argue that other games like Killzone also had just as many or more emotion...
I've never suceeded. I had this one guy once. All he did was that poison cloud and he was trapped and close to dead and I didn't notice that I was poisoned and I go up to him to finish him off then figure out that I had no health... A very sad day indeed.

I'd be more likely to break the bank and buy it if it had online option for 3rd person shooter. Most likely it won't though because MW is too fast pace kill everything before you get killed than tactical 3rd person SOCOM.
If MW2 is anything like COD4 (I'm pretty sure its damn close) then 3rd person probably wouldn't be too good with the gameplay style.
May be my first true RPG that I have purchased myself. No regrets. Personally I give it a 10 but realistically it is a 9.5 due to some frame rate issues (during dragon god) and the dead body physics are a little shotty. But that is small change for this monsterous epic game. I'm not even half way through and I think I've enjoyed it more than Killzone 2 which is the reason I bought a PS3 the first year the PS3 came out.
The accomplishment of defeating a boss and getting those souls to unlock new spells, strengths, weapons, and places is more rewarding than a stupid bronze trophy. If you're a trophy whore, go play burnout paradise. You will not get trophies quickly. It's kinda like SOCOM confrontation. I've played Confrontation and Demon Souls (and MW1) for a longer amount of time than any other games because they are addictive and fun as hell, not because I can get trophies (which I enjoy as well).

I have enough games to carry me over till 2011. Demon's Souls is crack. I wish I wasn't constantly busy so could actually have sometime to sit and play some games... Story of my life.
