I was fearful because this game was pushed back several times. However I'm still confused as to if this is physical or just digital release. ie will I be able to buy it in the US without psn shenanigans?
Shhh....don't spoil the OP's fun. From the article it seems the author doesn't know people moved on from this game a long time ago. You just mentioned one reason and the article mentioned the other: it's a game that forces you to use a mic to play effectively. It's essentially Mario Party 6.
Unfortunately a lot of these sales are jewelry store style. 50% off Diablo sounds great until you realize MS thinks Diablo's retail price is $59, when in fact you can find it New for $30 on disc, the same as the sale price.

The only reason DriveClub was given so much after-launch support was because they had no green light to do anything else. The amount of content released for this game after launch was absolutely bizarre; its not like motorcycles were a missing part of the launch. That should have raised a lot of red flags.
We did want a new Mega Man game. That's whey we all fell for some scam on Kickstarter. Too late now, that money's spent.
Interesting thing about this video: They never say "Vita", only "PlayStation Vita", as if we are confused about what Vita they're talking about after hearing it 50 times in this video.

The worst of all time is Splinter Cell: Double Agent. You spend downtime between every mission sneaking around the bad guys' base while they're sleeping to gather evidence when you know exactly who they are and what they're planning and could knife/silent shoot them instead like you've done in every other Splinter Cell game.
Repetitive games aren't the problem. Repetitive N4G clickbait opinion articles about said games are the problem. EQ and WoW existed just fine without much drama for over a decade before the current comment section culture ruined gaming.

When I first read the news about the game being cancelled and Lionhead being shut down, I told two of my gamer friends and their response was, "I thought Fable Legends already came out and was a stupid Kinect game."
So I guess the excitement for this game was not universal after all.
