The definition between gamer and casual is real, but its not about platform or genre. A "gamer" is someone who participates in video games in *any* way besides just playing games, like going to game sites (like this one), or reading previews/reviews, or doing some kind of fan activity, or participating in a forum. I agree with most except a strange line where he says "the Wii was a fad' nonsense". How was the Wii anything else but a fad? It is the definition of a fad. It almost tanked an entire billion dollar industry. Non-gamers bought it for Christmas and by New Year's Day had put it in their closet. Tickle-Me Elmo had more lasting power. The Wii was a transitional fad that filled a two-year period before mobile games took off and all those f**** casuals got the hell out.
