I say they should be done before shipped. Back on n64 and before the dlc craze games had to be up to par or they didnt sell. I am more forgiving of wrpgs like risen and divinity 2 which had soooo many bugs because they have smaller budgets and im just happy to have them, plus the dev are good with patches usually. All big open world crpgs have hella bugs at launch.

You can rent games/borrow them and run it onto your hdd with the ps3. Ive even seen ps3 games on the net to download. Bluray wont stop piracy, drm wont stop it selling the game through live and ps store would put a big dent in it.
how pc uses dvd, wii uses dvd, 360 uses dvd. How is it hard to use 2 disks? How can huge games like rdr and tales of vesperia use only one disk? most games only need like 5 gb's and very few use more than one disk. Mgs4 could be done on dvd using 3 disks and compressing the vids hell maybe it could fit on 2 disks. Dev have no reason to complain when they can use up to 4 disks, they either want to justify selling dlc or are making excuses as to why their game is short.
they can fit it on 3-4 disks no problem. Compress the fmv's and all that jazz. i dont mind changin disks. il play it whether its on 360 or ps3 but its not hard to fit it on 360.

yeah i was talking about sterioscopic 3d also. Avatar on 360 has a sterioscopic mode. If that has it whats stopping other games? Nothing. Ms never said the 360 cant. Yall do know the 360 already has 3d games right? The hdmi only needs to be higher for bluray. The 360 can do it all its up to is developers. The only benifit to 1.4 is it can do more info fo better res which doesnt matter to much this gen because with 3d the 360 and ps3 cant do 1080. yea i beat the whole game without installing only studdered on the necromancer fight with like 50 minions on screen. Damn good game, well worth 60 bux. I will replay on the hardest diff. I wont spoil it but that ending was so dope.

I can get a 1080p 46in tv for 600 new. The same tv in 3d is 1400. Its not worth the extra 800 for something i would use for a movie every now and then. Its cool for games but not long sittings like i do. Sony makes bank off 3d tvs and thats why their pushing it. 1080p prices dropped so they want you to buy the next expensive thing. Everyone thinks 3d is cool but its not as good on a small tv compaired to theaters. Sony knows fanboys will buy anything they push (even a toaster).

this is why i watch gameplay vids and see what real people say about a game. i thought fallout 3 was ok but waaaay overhyped. I much prefer wrpgs like dragons age, divinity, and mass effect. I guess it felt kind of boring but i did like the story and the world so i will try new vegas and make up my mind as i like obsidian and enjoyed their games even alpha protocol.
