I think the biggest problem with the review is that he makes quite a few snippy remarks about the game not being original and how it offers nothing new. The ps3 takes this one easily the only game i need to mention is ratchet. That is a huge kiddie franchise for sony.
gow3 looks just like gow 2 but with better graphics. It's still a day one for me but i doubt its going to do anything different from the previous iteration.
Yes ms has better warranty but they didnt have a choice if you recall they only had a three month warranty until the rrod was uncovered and the system was going to get recalled. One year by sony is really good however having to pay 150 to repair it if something goes wrong after that,does not sound appealing.
@starvinbull yeah theres no doubt ms should have spent more time testing the 360. but in all honesty many people purposely make their 360s get the rrod just to get it working like new.

@WMW yes i do own a 360 and a ps3 as well. I've played both games love uncharted and i love gears and the cover system works the same way on both games its just uc has better animations which is one of the reasons i love it however its the same damn thing youd know that if you played both games. oh yeah one minor difference you use x to jump over obstacles instead of circle in gears its just one button.

dude the industry will not die at least not any time soon. Yes it really sucks that folks dont trust reviewers but i for one think that 9.3 is a great score. These people have not played the game yet and here they are crying about a score that many publishers would pay for. The only opinion that matters at the end of the day is mine. I would buy this game even if it got sevens to me its seems like its going to be a perfect ten.
I think the deal with gears is simple, when the first gears launched the cover system actually worked amazingly and it still does to this day. they really perfected it, so maybe thats why it felt new and original. There was nothing like it at the time and i know killswitch had been around but it really felt different.

yeah they screwed up the multiplayer,however the campaign was a million times better on geow2 in fact its my fave shooter campaign this gen.. i wish the movement was still like on the first game i dont mind the stopping power but the characters feel so slow they made a completely new game it saddens me because the first gears was the only reason i even got online and now i can only dream about what could have been....

the new xbox will release in 2011 theres no doubt about that. I dont mind that i firmly believe that five years is a good life cycle and calls for a new system however i still believe they should continue to keep the 360 alive if even with third party software like the ps2
as good as uncharted is i would never buy a console for just one game doesnt make sense to me.
