Ratchet and Clank is over all better, but if you prefer melee platforming, I would recommend the Jak and Daxter series on the PS2. You can most likely get them for dirt cheap from your local store or online.
I know I mentioned the game already once on the thread, and I know it is for R&C and not J&D, but it came up again ^^b
Jak 2 & 3 were almost squarenix level of story and plot. You should definatly get them. Also Jak & Daxter was absolutely great for when it came out, and still a strait up fun platforming experience... except for the fish catching mini game... I hate that mini game :P
Edit: The first J&D was a lot like Mario64 in that you would go to a level and have multiple options on what to do to get the quest items. There were 100(101?) in the game, and you only needed like 65 t...
I pre-ordered the PS3 as soon as I learned that Resistance was being made by Insomniac. At this point I purchase any game they make. They have never made a single bad game. Just like naughty dog.
Your no better then all the filthy PS3 only owning mudbloods.
As soon as the dark lord Gates stops manipulating things from the shadows and actually comes out in the open, people like you are going to be the first to be mopped up.
Firstly, I will not be able to tell you if it is worth the price, because my view of money does not tend to coincide with others. All I can tell you is that I like it, and my review of it.
Now then, everyday shooter is fun and innovative. As I am sure you know it is a old school shooting game, much like stardust in the mechanics.
The music plays a big part in the game, where the enemy waves come with the beat, and there deaths play notes that fit in with the tun...
Why do people list cross platform games as a reason to get a specific console? Can you tell me that bigbear?
Wait, there is a new demo on PSN??? I must have just assumed it was the one I had already DLed, I will have to check it out as well, thanks for informing me of it.
Well, you are a wage paid employee.
Game designers are salary based, they are paid to get a job done. They are not paid less if they finish it fast, they should not be paid more if they take longer.
Of course this may just be the boss in me talking.
Huuurrrr, this guy said that lair was technologically advanced. I am now going to try and rip on the game like a retarded fanboy, confirming the point he was making in his previous post. Duurrrr, to bad I cannot read, or else I would have noticed that he already said that lair was a bad game.
Christ Jiggyjay, its just embarrassing.
I am from Los Altos, the SJ mercury is my paper. I do not own a 360 but a PS3, and I think halo is overated, but I do recognise that I am not a fan of FPS, so I can imagine that it really is that good for those that like it.
All I can say is that this journalist is an ass. Anything to get his name in the national papers, and he most likely will. This is not proper journalism, swag bags are nothing new.
Next Gen =/= AAA
I am getting slightly perturbed by all the idiots who keep on confuseing the terms. The useful thing though is that it is normally a quick indication of a crazy fanboy post, so it can normally be skipped.
Lair was crap, it was not a fun game. But it is still one of the most technically superior games on the market.
What the hell?
No one mentioned any "next gen" needed features on this string. You come along and ass it up. Crazy fanboy much? Have to rant and rave about things that do not relate to try and make yourself feel better.
What are you? 12? Pooray, the randomness, the avatar. Prolly the reason you are so pissed off, dont have any actual buying decisions in your house, stuck with only a 360.
I cannot stop whistleing the song, been doing so on and off for the past few days. It is really getting on my ladys nerves.
Am I just inventing memorys??
Although forge is a cool additon, isent it exactly the same as it was in tribes?
Why is it being touted as something completely new? User added content in FPS's is not new at all, in fact, it is about 5 years old.
The score is in issue 93, which is what was most likely said. As far as I know, the actuall score has not been released.
That could be it, I may not be playing the games that utilize it to its fullest. I am mostly platformers(Jak/R&C/mario) and RPG's, not a big FPS or even TPS (I do not accept R&C as a TPS) fan, although warhawk was pretty savage and drakes fortune looks badass.
RPG's do not need rumble at all, and platformers do not really use it that well.
I havent played any MGS game, although I will most likely get the PS3 one, but that is most likely due to the hype :...
I am psyched for the new Castlevania, I hated the most recent DS incarnation of it(loved circle though), so it will be great having another good incarnation of the long standing, and one of the best, series.
I would like to thank this article for alerting me to all the crazy things I can do on my PSP with custom firmware. Somehow, I never managed to read anything about this. I am putting it on my PSP as I write this.
I had 11 of the fatty standard controllers after the new small ones came out. I have giant circus freak hands, and actually loved the size of them. All my friends just gave me theirs instead of turning them in :P
Anyone recall when rumble was first introduced with star fox 64? "It lets you feel the game!"
It was laughed at, and basically considered to be the stupidest thing ever. When did that change? I personally do not give a damn about rumble in controllers.
On another note, anyone remember back when nintendo power used to send you the really cheesy and laughably bad video's? Good times.
