As someone who went, using the JP titles, FF4 to FF6 to FF8-10 then 7 then 12. I have to say, 7 is not better then 6, 12, 10(even though if you think hard about it, 10 stole a good 70% of the main plot points from 6), and 9(ordered). I think most of the love for FF7 comes from the fact that for the time it was completely revolutionary, and it tended to be peoples first foray into the series.

Anyways, Wii does not take many sales away from the 360/PS3. It sells to a different audience then the PS360.
Secondly, the people who have a 360 or PS3 also tend to have a Wii as well.

They need to port that game over to a handheld already. I would purchase it, just like I repurchased FFT, FF6, and Disgaea. Dont care that I already have them, I need a bathroom copy :P

You are correct about a DVD9 being able to read faster then the blue-ray. However only near the edge of the disk, the farther you move in the slower it gets. In fact if you have to completely fill a dual layer disk the average read speed is slower then blu-ray. Completely agree beaner. I got a wii at launch, my 1.25 games are getting lonely(Zelda and 25% owner of Mario party). Here is looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy, played like 4 hours of it at gamestop the other day, pretty savage.
I have no interest in FPS's, or sandbox games save oblivion(meaning I do not like GTA ect.). I am all about the RPG's, strategy/puzzle, and platformers.
Mass effect and Catan are the only things on the 360 that interest me, I really wish their were more, because I want a 360 to round out the collection, and it just does not seem worth it.
But the argument that their are good RPG's on the 360 is not a very good one(mass effect will redeem the 360 in that market...

I own Final Fantasy 6 on 3 different systems, even though they were only direct ports I continue to purchase them. I actually have 2 copies of the SNES version(lol FF3). And I have at least one beaten file on each of my copies. I would not hesitate to pick up another copy if they remade it.
