I've played the Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider games. None of them looked like or played like Uncharted before Uncharted. They didn't have the same look or feel. However, this game has a very similar look and sound. Obviously can't comment about the feel and since it's a FPS I doubt it'll match anyway. . .
Edit: Seriously. Is that NOT Nate and Sully? I could see NPCs in the game calling out "Nate! Hey, N... My bad. Thought you were someone else."...
Had anyone watched that video without the headline they would have immediately said "That was fast. Didn't know they were making an Uncharted FPS!"
Show me one pre-Uncharted Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider game that looks like that. Just one! I dare you.
Has anyone told you that you're really boring? You are.
I like your points are being refuted completely and your response is "I don't get it so it's stupid", JaredH. If you don't get it, cool. If it's not your cup of tea, awesome. Give it up already. You aren't the only person not to understand a story just as there are plenty of people that follow it just fine. I think that UC3 had the best story and experience of the three games. UC2 will always stand as the pinnacle due to it's release. Had UC3 and UC2 reversed...
Why would ANYONE have those things if they already have a PS3? What good is a stand-alone BluRay/DVD player when you have a perfectly good PS3? I have two things connected to my A/V receiver. PS3 and PC. Stand-alone appliances are for grandmothers and people you don't like as Christmas gifts.
The Witcher 2 is a brilliant game. I hear a ton about Dragon's Dogma and I think I'll try it out, but I really need more character themed games (ala The Witcher). I'm getting tired of playing games as Mr. Genericface. I can do some LARPing if I wanted ME as a fantasy character. I want to be a sliced up cat-eye man or a 16 year old boy that can't convince me that I'm actually a boy.
But that was the Fox News group and their followers. The only people worrying about their feelings are themselves.
Ages. . . Four months. . . Perspective is for chumps!
Oh wow! You are a single player game that no one competes with BOSS! How awesome is that? You're like. . . The Michael Jordan of FFVIII! I bet all the ladies love killerhog because of your FFVIII bossness. Seriously though. You're really cool, bro. Ice cold cool.
What the. . . Huh?
The same thing happened to the 3DS and PS3. If it doesn't sell a billion in the first week... FAIL! If it doesn't have 27 exclusive games in the first month (unless it's the 360 which doesn't need exclusive games according to the fans)... FAIL! It'll blow over yet again. The Vita is awesome.
"Last time I checked Sony only had Resistance at launch, so stop trash talking."
That's because you never actually checked. So stop trash talking?

What you're saying makes no sense, mcstorm. This is NOT what Sony was about in previous generations. The PS2 beat the Xbox to market by a year. The PS1 beat the N64 to market by a year and a half. It wasn't Sony deciding to be less powerful. They were the most powerful when released.
Everything else is your opinion and I have to problem with it (even agree with your choice of Resident Evil).
If you think people are just now caring about graphics, you've missed the conversation since 2006. Be real for a second. The WiiU is supposed to be the first step into the next gen. When the Wii was released people giggled because of the fairly lame controller and the last gen graphics. If the WiiU ends up the way this website is describing it we will have a repeat of that. The one problem is that casual fans won't be as fast to scoop it up. Core gamers didn't really fall for it t...
Barely and for the first year in their shared existence. Microsoft also released their new thing last year which was meant to drive sales through the roof. But while they made a killing during the holiday season they barely beat the PS3. Which would actually point to exclusives meaning a LOT. The PS3 only had exclusives. The 360 had "Like a new console launch". The sales of the Kinect and 360 show that the initial release gave a huge jump that died down. The sales of the PS3 show st...
Don't get me wrong. I agree that the writing/storytelling in games could and should be MUCH better. Better games would definitely be the result. But that doesn't impact the idea of "next-gen". I'm also not saying that graphics alone make for better gaming. I am saying that "next-gen" type increases in graphic capability allow for new experiences that can be considered "next-gen".
I agree with your sentiment, -Gespenst-. But imaginative storytelling doesn't mean next gen. Books have superior storytelling in comparison to most games and require nothing more than a surface for words to be imposed on. Video games need a story to be entertaining (for the most part), but not to be next-gen. CGI cutscenes are pretty, but they don't do anything that can be considered next-gen in my opinion. FFVII was the last time I saw a cutscene and thought "WOW! This is new an...
People are confusing the meaning of graphics in this situation. Graphics are an integral part of moving toward better gaming. A bump in resolution does not make for better gaming (which is what "Oh the PC" is about). New engines use better graphics to enhance gameplay. Remember when Contra was the class of the shooter/action genre? Now look at games like Uncharted and Gears of War. Graphics make that difference possible. Without advances in graphics there would be no advances in gam...
"Clearly fake.
I will say $299... which is a great price"
Well since YOU say so. How lucky are we that you are the Pricing God? Thanks!
I can't believe you guys are arguing the graphical prowess of the Wii and PS2. Why not throw the Dreamcast in there for good crazy measure? Something seems strange about e-peening technology from the late 90s.
