But I can't complain about the line up we have this year. Xbox live has 3 games that I see people playing online constantly..Gears, Halo and COD4. PS3 really just has COD4, I know alot of people will say that Warhawk is great but it seems to not have the massive appeal as the Live games as far as % of players.

Think of it this way: Rock-band 2 is a 360 timed exclusive from EA. (which Activision must be thrilled by since no competition for Guitar Hero) Since Mirror's Edge is using PS3 as the lead platform, EA probably told Sony hey we can throw you a bone with Mirror's Edge. Just a thought.
That was long but it didn't say anything new. RROD is gonna be why MS doesn't win this gen, which is unfortunate because of the library of games and the ease developers have with developing on it. Plus I think globally people dislike Microsoft. I think about it in terms of how we here in the US dislike EA so much. Now there are alot of people who will admit to buying EA products but as a company many hate them.

I am just making the point that Sony can't annouce anything blockbuster anymore because it will get stolen by MS. Sony has 25 studio's do you really think that we know every game in development or what exclusive deals are being made with other studios? No and if they annouced them now MS would be able to pay for either multi plat or to have a game made similar.
I can actually get into that argument if you like. Sony copied Tropies, I don't know about in game music because I haven't seen that feature on PS3 but will give you that one. So that leaves Avatars = Mii, Halo = Metroid, Gears of War = KillSwitch, Live Headsets = Socom Headsets (Console wise), Banjo Kazoo from Crash Bandi, Fable= ? ( Not a RPG fan).

I don't think Sony made any huge annoucements at the press briefing because back when they would show all the stuff that they where working on they would get their ideas stolen by Microsoft. Like LIPS and Your in the Movies, even the new interface is like the singstar store. So thanks to MS Sony can't reveal the big projects that are more than a few months from completion.
To be fair to MS the downloadable games that are offered on PSN like Warhawk, Prolog and Socom aren't more than 2-4 gigs, they aren't really full games(at least by BR standards). Even though MS touted the DD thing last year they have yet to allow users to actually own DD movies, So you are right on there. The fact that you can switch out HDDs with the PS3 will only lead to even more DD stuff from Sony. I think it won't be until next gen though till we see Downloadable HD movies.
Wii isn't a next gen console, but even so it isn't half of PS3.
I will be surpised if Gears 2 wins. Don't forget Fallout 3, and depending on which awards you are talking about, RE5. Don't count out MGS4 either.
I don't forsee a day when I will not want a hard copy of my games. How can I trade in old downloaded games? We here the same argument from MS and Sony about DD vs. BRD. Most people will almost always want a backup or hard copy. Note I didn't say everyone just most.

October is great, Nov=Maybe greater. They will move at least 2 of these games back to Nov or Dec. November has..R2, Gears 2, PoP, COD, MotorStorm 2, MK vs. DC, Mirror's Edge, Tomb Raider and Quantum of Solice.
Don't forget DC Universe online, alot of people are gonna be intrested me included. And of course who could forget R&C, a possible Jak or Uncharted 2 game. We didn't find out about Socom and R2 comming this year until January. So many more possibly even may see Ico game.

Again this is on hardware sales not overall sales. Yes X-box 360 has lost 4 billion in hardware sales and fixing faulty hardware. But they have made 500 million a year the last 2 years on Live memberships not to mention transactions on live which is 1 billion dollars. Add to that the money made from publishing Halo 3 and Gears of War that 9 mill and 7 mill sold respectfully. Microsoft made 65% of those sales as the publisher so that is about 700 million.
