This doesn't make much sense, Microsoft has brought the most new IP this generation thus far. Nintendo seems a bit more afraid of new IP out of the big 3.
New IP released or announced since the Xbox Ones launch-
Ryse:Son Of Rome
Max: The Curse Of Brotherhood
Titanfall
Sunset Overdrive
Ori And The Blind Forest
Project Spark
Screamride
LocoCycle
Quantum Break
ReCore
Sea Of Theives
They are probably going by in home? Maybe they know something we don't. So I'd say probably 19-20 million PS4's in homes and 14-15 million Xbox One's. Nice to see everything so successful.
Mafia 3?
When your competition is selling a remake for $40 and you offer one for free, I think that's a huge win for everyone that owns an Xbox One. I think the "win" will be all the focus on exclusives from Microsoft. Talking games instead of other things is hugely important.
I don't think the media and gamers allow Sony to take time away from game talk, to talk about things like apps, tv, movies ect... They've spent too much time on those things the past coupl...
The ace is Halo 5, Forza 6, Rise Of The Tomb Raider going against No Mans Sky and Tearaway.
They are poised to have a winning E3, then into Gamescom where there's no competition, then into the holiday where Sony is vastly unprepared again this year.
I'd say things look fantastic for the Xbox One.
Great news, congratulations to Microsoft. I think we could be seeing the start of one of the biggest comeback success stories in gaming. Phil Spencer and company have done a lot right, listening to gamers, and really putting together a quality console with fantastic games and services.
Looking forward to E3, and winning NDP leading into E3 is huge for perception. If they do a great job at E3, that leads directly into Gamescom where they have no competition.
Could be...
Because there's no legit "reports". VGChartz and all the rest are completely invented numbers.
The media kind of hates Microsoft for whatever reason. I'd say the bigger issue for the leaker/s is the inevitable lawsuit. All because you wanted to be relevant for 5 minutes, you have to spoil the surprises for everyone else.....
If you look at Sony's reveal in 2013, the price was basically magic marker. All the sites showed the PS4 with the camera. Why not sell it for $499?
Hell, Sony dropped the idea of DRM quick, fast and in a hurry. Do you honestly think big third parties were only going to do DRM on Xbox One? Heck no! Sony has a ton of patented DRM items. They backed out when they saw all the hate Microsoft got.
There's articles about it all over the internet. Let's...
It's funny to get a comment like this because Sony is just the opposite. They brought some delayed games (one terrible in The Order) to the early part of 2015, but what about the other 10 months? What do they have to appeal to the American market?
Microsoft may not have had a sexy lineup, but I never stopped playing Forza Horizon 2, Halo MCC, Sunset Overdrive, Ori, Screamride and now I'm deep into State Of Decay. We don't know what's next, but Microsoft (unli...
Phil is a class act, probably too classy for the industry. These shows are done and prepped well in advance. It was an anomaly in 2013 when Sony quickly slapped together their game sharing video and then pulled the Eye out of the box to drop the price to $399.
Don't give Sony any ammo and there's not much they can. Knock it out of the part, and I would assume Sony has some kind of "backup" plan or CGI trailer for God Of War 4 or The Last Guardian.
Biggest rumor going is that this game will be free to download for all Xbox One owners the day of E3. That'd be a huge Megaton IMO.
(We want to thank all the Gears fans, and so right now anyone with an Xbox One can download Gears Of War Ultimate Edition for free)
At that point E3 is over and won.
Glad they aren't concerned, but I think the average consumer is, or should be. I bought a PS4 for big time AAA exclusives like they offered with the PS3.
I'm not really into indie games or small budget games, those should be there anyway.
When you promise something like Uncharted 4 at the PS4 launch in 2013, and promise it to be there in 2015..and then it gets delayed...you better have more than a marketing plan with third parties.
I'm sorry, but Tearawa...
This is how you win gamers. No need for slogans, just bring the games.
Halo 5
Forza 6
Rise Of The Tomb Raider
Gears Of War Ultimate
Fable Legends
Bring out the new Battletoads and Banjoe Kazooie, and let Joe Montana NFL 2K16 be legit.
That might be one of the best lineups of all time. So hyped for Microsoft's E3!
Also want to see Scalebound, Crackdown, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct Season 3 and Phantom Du...
The fact that they only showed 12 games last year, and they are winding down the Wii U. It's also common knowledge that they don't get very much third party support, and no Zelda is going to be shown. Seems like a good assessment that they'd save money and skip E3 this year again.
Nintendo Direct. I just don't see them taking the stage at E3 when they don't have a lot of content. Hopefully they do a stage show next year when they announce the new Nintendo console. I don't mind the Nintendo Directs, but it's not the same thing as the big E3 showing.
Looks great, but I knew that when I saw a Twitch stream of it the other day. A lot of the time people are under some weird impression that the Xbox One versions of games look bad, which isn't the case at all.
Really looking forward to picking up my CE of the Witcher 3 on Xbox One on the 19th.
I liked the game, but no voice chat is so weird. It's 2015, and giving people the option to use voice chat is something that should be standard.
Nintendo needs to stop trying to be everyone's parents, and just put together a robust online network with friends, voice chat and an achievement/trophy system. Hopefully the next Nintendo console understands this.
It's releasing on Xbox One and PS4 in 2016. :)
You have to pass certification to release on consoles.
Really looking forward to Sea Of Thieves, and props to Rare for stepping out of their recent comfort zone. It's definitely hard to have the name "Rare" to begin with, and creating a new IP is going to have a lot of eyes on you no matter what. I'm definitely liking the artistic style, and hope to see more on it soon.
