Microsoft didn't have to worry about Sony's potential show, or backlash from gamers/media by showing something like the TV DVR. The past 3 E3's have been nothing but games (Which is great) but I like the other aspects of my Xbox One. Microsoft has been fearful to talk about them since the backlash of the reveal in 2013.
Recore and Sea Of Thieves were both mentioned as exclusives for 2016, which we learned they will have a fantastic 2016 lineup as my post implied to begin ...
It was fantastic! Usually Gamescom is a replay of E3. Microsoft treated all gaming fans to a completely new experience. I might have liked it better than their E3, and I thought their E3 was pretty flawless.
I love the focus on exclusives and first party content. It was nice to see them not be afraid to show the TV DVR function, as they've not talked anything but games the past 3 E3's. I think Sony not doing a show let them have more leeway.
We learned that 2016 will...
Time to buy a third Xbox One I suppose.... Looks nice!
Haha! RACK'EM UP!
Loving this trend. It's such a forward thinking idea too, because it really sets your console apart from the competition.
Gears Ultimate = Entire Gears collection
Fallout 4 = Fallout 3
Rainbow 6 Siege = Rainbow 6 Vegas 1 & 2
Just Cause 3 = Just Cause 2
Great trend, and excellent value.
WOW! I was blown away by this. Love the action RPG style, and the obvious western influence. Microsoft was smart to get Platinum Games to bring their newest IP to life. Can't wait!
Already pre-ordered. Cannot wait! This studio knows what they're doing.
This is nice. So often people try to dog on the Xbox One for not having any indies or an indie focus. They dropped the parity clause, have indies take center stage, and now have 1000 studios working on ID@Xbox games. Very nice day to be an Xbox fan.
This game blew me away, loved Shawn Ashmore in the role. Looks fantastic, and what I love is that Microsoft took the complaints about lack of games earlier in the year and have fixed that. Recore, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct Season 3 all launching Q1 2016.
This is fantastic! Loved Season 1 and 2 of Killer Instinct. I wasn't sure about the seasonal way they were doing the game, but now it gives you something fresh and new to look forward to. Love it!
Some great deals! I'll be too busy on Rare Replay for the foreseeable future though. Nice to see so many digital discounts from Microsoft week to week.
I love the direction Phil Spencer and company are making. The fan interaction, the values, the updates. They really make you feel special and part of something. I know it sounds cheesy, but it's cool having people like Phil Spencer, Aaron Greenberg, Mike Ybarra, Major Nelson follow you on Twitter and actually interact with you.
Not to mention the games, games, games, games approach and Phil s commitment to first party exclusives instead of timed DLC or third party timed ...
Kotaku complained due to the lack of Donkey Kong and GoldenEye.
Q: Do I need to be familiar with Fable I, II, or III in order to play “Fable Legends”?
A: No. “Fable Legends” welcomes those visiting Albion for the first time. Those who have explored the land will find with new stories, secrets, and adventures.
Q: Can I play “Fable Legends” as a single player experience?
A: Yes. In “Fable Legends”, you can enjoy all of the game’s content in a single player experience.

I wondered how long it would take the media to try and turn this into a bad thing. Much like some of the Rare Replay reviews that docked points because it didn't have Donkey Kong or GoldenEye. Which Microsoft tried to work out, Nintendo wouldn't budge.
Yes, full RPG that you can play solo or with 3 friends. Online or offline. Quests, story and they are adding content and quests for 5-7 years. So it's a long term project.
I love physical media, and I own all the other Fable games. I even bought Killer Instinct Season 1 physically after I owned it digitally. I also bought the physical Project Spark as well.
It's not a traditional F2P game, so I'm hoping for the option to buy it outright, own all the characters and just go from there.
Well they are marketing this game wrong IMO, the Beta is strictly multiplayer, the actual game is an RPG almost MMO style. You can play the quests solo or with 3 friends. Even if you play offline, you have 3 companions with you who are controlled by AI.
They've done a bad job at letting people know it's a full fledged Fable story RPG. With an interesting almost MOBA type of online. Which is fun, but I'm more interested in the story.
Can't wait! Hopefully we get a release date and a physical copy of the game coming as well.
If Microsoft were smart they'd announce an Xbox One bundle with Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider (2013) and some of the 360 Tomb Raider games via backwards compatibility.
Ultimate Tomb Raider bundle for $399 would push a lot of Xbox One's this holiday.
This game looks amazing, even if it's not a lifetime exclusive, having the game built for Xbox One specifically has made a big difference.
