I never cared about resolution, but it's nice to see that's one less thing Sony can dupe gamers with as a reason to buy the PS4 for.
We heard the "Gap will widen" it hasn't, it's gotten smaller.
We heard the "Cloud wasn't real", it is, and it's glorious.
We heard the PS4 was "50% more powerful" Have you seen Quantum Break, Ryse, Crackdown, Halo 5?
Nice to see Xbox One on such an incredible comeback....
I'd love to wish that were true...but my PS4 packed up in the closet until Uncharted 4 in 2016 says otherwise.
Enough for what? I personally love the exclusives being the center of attention. We all get third party stuff at the end of the day, so the marketing or timed deals mean nothing. We buy these consoles based on the exclusives games. Gamescom did a great job of putting the Xbox One in a worldwide spotlight, I mean millions of people watched their conference.
You don't have to clarify Phil. Sony is buying third party content and games. Even after they said they didn't do that as early as last year. http://www.lazygamer.net/ga...
People act as if these companies love Sony so much they are giving away marketing deals to them. Sony has to pay, and pay a lot. Personally I'd much rather Sony not spend 65 mill...
2MBPS isn't much, in comparison you are suggested to have 5MBPS to use PS NOW. And if you're playing an online game, you need a decent connection anyway. It's really relatively low latency.
Microsoft is the leader in Cloud technology. Sony has a single data center. It's not as easy as you're trying to make it seem. There's a reason Microsoft let everyone know Xbox Live would feature 800,000 servers. This is that reason.
They've done the work themselves, had a breakthrough with cloud rendering which only requires a 2mbps connection to achieve 20x the computing power.
Sony can't even get PSN to stop doing scheduled maintenanc...
All first party surely? Who wouldn't want this with Halo multiplayer, Gears multiplayer, Forza multiplayer ect..?
Obviously due to Sony's limitations we won't see third party devs use it. Where's the #NoParity movement when you need it?
*Edit*
Third parties could use the same type of destruction we've seen here in Crackdown 3 on the Xbox One versions of games. COD, Battlefield, Homefront, Battlefront ect..
Use Cloud to render things o...
So much crow to be had these past few days. Crackdown is looking amazing. And it's great that Microsoft is focusing solely on things that can't be done on the competition. Focus on what you do best, and that's why Xbox One has been really turning the tide lately. Day one buy, cannot wait!
Probably the online co-op will feature it. Crackdown has long been known for the online co-op, which will most definitely use this. Sadly, the single player doesn't because they have to sell the game to those without internet (if they exist) and we have to remember all the crybabies that didn't want an online console.
Someone check on NeoGAF, they're all probably full on crow! Nice to see this in action, and doesn't require a high internet speed to achieve. 20x more computing power is fantastic, and I can imagine future Halo, Gears, Forza games using this with similar results.
Much prefer Shawn Ashmore, the original Jack Joyce had a putty looking face. Gamescom was basically a completely new look at the game, which was awesome.
Counting 1000 indies doesn't do much for me. What franchises do you think of when you think PlayStation? Me? It's God Of War, Gran Turismo, Jak And Daxter, Socom, Sly Cooper, Resistance, Uncharted. How many of these have released on PS4 thus far?
Now, what do you think of when you think Xbox? Gears of War, Fable, Forza, Halo? Now you know what I'm talking about. I didn't buy a PS4 to play Soccer Cars or some weirdo game that could be played on Ouya. I want my ...
Damage control harder please. I watched Microsoft's presser, millions and millions of other gamers did. It was absolutely fantastic, completely new content from E3.
Sony had no presser, no new announcements. Gamers will notice. Sony can't spend the entire generation thinking people will keep buying their console based off initial policies the Xbox One was going to have. Newsflash, it's not 2013 anymore and Don Mattrick isn't running Xbox.
You can try to produce some big list of games that look like they were named after Jason Statham movies, indies and non retail releases. That doesn't mean they have more AAA exclusives or the types of games I, or a lot of gamers are interested in.
The last PS4 game I bought was The Order 1886, and the next will be Uncharted 4. That's a long drought.
And I'm not worried about what "majority" likes. Majority tends to like a lot of bad things, Bieb...
Yes. But it would have been much worse if they had shown up and repeated everything from E3. Then the lack of content would have really looked bad for them.
Phil Spencer is a class act. Always has time for the fans on Twitter, and does his best to bring value and what we ask for (Like backwards compatibility for free).
Can't say enough good things about his vision for Xbox.
It's lack of content, same when Microsoft skipped Gamescom before. Even if Sony holds other shows like PSX, it's mostly going to be indies and things we've already seen.
Not sure why everyone beats around the bush, them skipping Gamescom and Microsoft having such a fantastic show could see a shift in momentum.
I doubt Microsoft ever catches Sony outside of the United States, but anyone who tries to blindly hate on Xbox One at this point obviously isn'...
Day one buy. Turn 10 and the Forza franchise have really stepped into their roles as the leading race franchises in gaming today. Forza 6 looks like a true return to form.
Let's not forget Uncharted was very Tomb Raider like to begin with. Code named "Dude Raider" to begin with. And Uncharted 4 has a pick axe and climbs walls a lot like the last Tomb Raider. Best to not really get into semantics, ROTTR looks fantastic!
Looks great, and I've seen pictures from people who are at Gamescom. Not surprised to be seeing negative articles surrounding anything Xbox One related, as the narrative seems to be changing regarding the consoles.
First party focus, backwards compatibility, listening to gamers, no parity clause, EA Access, Elite Controller, updated SDK allowing for games like Metal Gear 5 to be 1080p 60fps on Xbox One as well. It's one heck of a time to be an Xbox One owner...OW, and the CLO...
