you still get ads. The were advertising Rush Hour 3 last week when you first go to the dash board. Si, I have to pay and get ads. Sounds fair?
but the PS3 allows for more items in the queue for background downloading. I have both machines and when E3 came around, there was so much content that more items in the queue were necessary. The 360 allows for 6. I don't know the official cap for the PS3, but I had around 15 items in the queue.
Place holder until Sony comes up with a name or it could be in the code for the 360 version when it comes out.
I got a 20 gig a while back and upgraded the hard drive. I have the 360 next to it and have a wireless adapter that suits both.
I would get the 60 gig for the price difference.
It has 4 player one machine offline and Lan multiplayer. The beta had this option greyed out, but it was there and has been confirmed by the devs
Less power consumption, less heat, smaller parts create a bigger air volume inside the shell, better performance.
It seems that Sony and MS keep putting out little teases that generate hype and then disappoint. I want there to be big announcements, but I am not counting on anything ground breaking.
Dlacy13g - Good points. It just seems like an endless tease with these companies. They slip us just enough to fill up the forums with comments and generate hype. Good marketing tool.
I understand MS tactic for only showing games for this year. They had a strong statement t...
it was kinda a toss up. I had the Halo beta and played it for longer than warhawk. I wasn't invited until a week and a half before warhawk ended. they were both real fun. Halo is always rock solid and warhawk has proven a lot. They are both on my "to get" list for the year.
32 players is real intense. I was able to play in a few full 32 player games and there wasn't any lack of action.
The most fun I had with the beta was a 32 player warhawk only battle. Super intense.
the unique LAN option with the retail copy. One disc for a lan party. That is impressive.
Does this mean you can't have a lan game where everyone has the downloaded copy?
for keeping these comments grounded on reality. August it is for the US. I won't complain.
I counted 27 people including the guy in the warhawk. That is still under the normal 32 players that it already supports.
I think it is good to have some executives speak their mind. His point is valid also. Just because you can speak you mind doesnt mean you bring anything to the table. Look at most of the flaming fanboy posts on N4G.
on COD4's official website they said that they are shooting for 3 million beta testers. They wanted to do the same on the PS3, but the install base is not large enough for the 3 million testers.
MS made it sound like they signed a deal for an exclusive beta when it was the dev's decision.
both sticking. The majority of movie watchers don't use a computer or game machine to download and watch. They just get a disc and play. I think that the download will stick and of course buying hard-copies will say also.
It was a little shocking to see Disney go to XBL. Have they offered their movies on any other download services?
if this is true, they are going crazy with the SKU's. They need to stick to one or two and adjust the price accordingly. As for the BC, I think they meant without the EE chip.
Web browser, replay service for non-halo viewers and/or other games.
IPTV isn't a surprise, so it has to be something else.
Edit: I hope it is a web browser. The PS3 one is a little too slow. When I am really lazy, I just check sites from my couch instead of going to the computer. MS version would run faster, hopefully.
Everything else is top notch. When the dev said it was pre-pre alpha, I took that as a hint that the textures and animations weren't all in yet. So, I am very optimistic.
Another video shows a razor wire fence and it looked like ps2 textures. I am hoping that these will be upgraded for the final. They have lots of time to optimize and take care of these.
I would still get it even in its current state.
It doesn't matter to me who wins. The problem is no one will win at this rate. I will not support either one until this stupid war is over if ever. Might as well keep my money until the next format comes out or down loadable movies are practical.
