The update seems to still be available from the playstation website.

Isn't the PS3 network more "open" than the Xbox network. The author assumes that since the X360 has one cross network game, Diablo 3 would automatically be a best fit for X360. Didn't Epic already say that they could have implemented cross network play for UT3 on the PS3, but didn't because it's not quite fair?
If you read the original interview, he also says:
"We want to deliver what is the best experience possible so the controls and everything else have to...
Yes, at the end of the video, while he is in SSHD, you can see the trophy unlocked message at the top right corner of the screen.
Does anyone know if trophy support will be added to older games?
Uncharted had it's own "achievement" and treasure system. Will that automatically be converted to XMB trophies?
I'd love to pop in my Uncharted and see 100% completed and all trophies collected.
Are trophies included in Firmware 2.40? I can't quite make out what he's saying at the end of the video.
Is he saying that Trophies are in the next update, or is he saying that they are not in the next update, but will be shown in the next video?
EDIT: Nevermind. Just read the official info stating that trophies are indeed in the 2.4 update.
That would be pretty nice. Create a break apart controller that breaks into 2 nunchuck like controllers with motion sensing in each.
Then put some infra red LEDs on each controller that you can track with the PSeye.
I hope that if they create this controller, it is something actually useful and not just a party game gimmick.
Yes, there the surfaces would work, but then the cost would have to come down significantly.
I wonder if there is really a market for this. As cool as the interface and interaction sounds and looks, it would be very tiring to stand in front of your wall waving your arms around. Most people can't even be bothered to get of their couch to get the TV remote, never mind standing in front of a screen for hours.
I would think that gesture/voice recognition would be a better approach. It allows you to control the surface from anywhere and any position. The software and hardwar...
What's next? The "Write a letter to your mom mission".
He should check his e-mail.
I agree. GEOW's real competition this year is Resistance 2, not Killzone. Although the graphics doesn't seem to be that much improved from the original, the gameplay looks to be a blast. They also have some nice features, the chainsaw battle, using enemies for shields.
I hope Guerilla games watches this closely. This is what a war should look like. The Killzone 2 footage looks very impressive, but it still doesn't really feel like an all out assault. Still some time to go though....
Unless it's a tactic from Microsoft to buy all Unreal Engine Technology and stop Epic from developing the engine any further for the PS3, or even stop them from licensing the PS3 version of the engine entirely.
3rd Party devs using the Unreal Engine for multi-platform development (of which there are quite a few) would then be forced to stay 360 exclusive, or develop their own engine.
MS knows that the real money lies in the software, and not the hardware. Buying Epic...
It was just an example... Anyway, not talking about remote play. I'm talking about the F1 demo they showed, where the PSP can display the rear view of the car while you are driving.
I'm just wondering if developers will ever use the functionality in some way.
What happened to the PS3/PSP interaction in games they showed a long time ago? I'm still waiting for a developer to do something with that.
I thought it would be cool in MGS4, if you control the Mk. II with your PSP (if you have one). So your PSP displays what the Mk. II is seeing, and you drive it around using the PSP, but you can still see Snake and what's happening around him.
But they went for motion control for the Mk. II, so I doubt we'll ever see that happ...
Tomb Raider (?) and .....
I didn't create this, but it's there.

Uncharted is a great game and really worth picking up. I finished it last weekend and wanted to play through again to get all the rewards and treasures, but then I started playing Tools of Destruction.
Tools of Destruction is the most fun I've had in a video game since Psychonauts. I just can't stop playing the game.
How is 4000x2000 eight times the resolution of 1920x1080?
1920 x 1080 = 2 073 600 pixels
4000 x 2000 = 8 000 000 pixels
Isn't that only 4 times the resolution? What am I missing?
In this interview ( http://threespeech.com/blog... with Evan Wells from Naughty Dog, he explains what screen tearing is.
Screen tearing is something that occurs when your frame rate dips below 30Hz. When you drop frame rate you have a choice to either drop all the way to 20Hz, or allow the screen to tear and only have the frame rate drop to 28 or 29Hz.

Read paragraph 6 and 7. That seems to be exactly what these screenshots are showing.
Strange, that's not the idea I got from Sony's conference. They did ask to wait a bit longer for home, but apart from that it sounded more to me like they were re-assuring customers that they are still very much in it to win (considering some articles claiming that they have given up).
When it comes to games, the message I got was that they have a lot of games right now (including 3rd parties), a lot more coming out before the end of the year (a lot of which are first party exclu...
