It does not take a genius to know; it didn't sell because it was too expensive. Now that they are priced based on their value; people will buy it. The question is whether is profitable or not for the industry at that price. If not; this news will not save UMD.
why would this be a bad thing for the consumer? I bet you if Nintendo or Sony would come up with something like this, you would be moaning or humping the monitor... Fanboys are just plain sad... Don't you know that wherever new features microsoft this comes with IPod will try to better it? So, who benefits? everyone.

I honesly don't mind if the PS3 gets this title. Heck, I wouldn't mind if the PS3 gets all 360 titles. The only difference I see is that; the 360 cost less than the PS3 and it will have xbox live only features.
I get you point Sphinx; and I agree. I do want the wii so my wife and kid can play. When I complain about the price; I'm not saying the wii not worth having. I'm simply saying it should be cheaper. It's like buying a bike for $10,000 just because my kid can't drive. Some companies shouldn't charge more just becase they can. I understand that Nintendo never lose money on hardware but come on give us a brake.

Some games retail for $39 or $49 on the 360 does that mean thats how much it will cost for for all companies. Lets wait until Sony give some official light about it; too bad they seem so resistant to say anything about it.
I would like to point that:
* PS3 blu-ray is NOT writable.
* PS3 blu-ray is 1X (Slower than standard DVD Players). Now to watch Movies this will not be a problem, since movies are not required to go crazy fast to play a movie at a constant speed. but when it comes to Game, hehehe. Prepare yourself for huge loading. Make sure you have a DS or PSP next to you so you can entertain yourself while it does. I like this guy. He seems like a gamer that anyone can relate to. He even answers to posts on his blog; on the other hand Nintendo’s and Sony’s are out of reach of the regular Joe gamer. I think M$ is doing a nice job when it comes to creating communities. I like the Idea that there are ways to get your opinion or thoughts about the 360 directly to the people working on it. This is impossible when it comes to Nintendo and Sony.

I bet you can run emulators (i.e. NES, SNES, Sega, GBA, etc.) To me this is better than a PSP and you don't have to be freaking deal with Sony's updates.
I said it before; I will buy a PS3 just to play FF and MGS. If they can pull it off and the games get good rating (And they are not released for the 360) I'm In.
