When they announce the patch to remove the DRM and 24h connection, the message was that they had listen to the complains of the players about it and decided to please us. In a sense, it was like "See how great we are because we listen what the consumers complaints". There was no "sorry" or "mea culpa" or anything addressed to us.
The truth is, if they really had listened to the players, they would have change the policy long before long before the present...
We are talking of Capcom, because it's the subject of this story. I assure you, there are a lot of games and compagnies which games interess me, yet I won't buy because of in disk dlc.
With the Wii-U not selling well, Nintendo understood that their finances depended of the 3DS. Nintendo are really seeing the master combo PS4+PSV (or PS-TV) like a great potential danger to the sales of the 3DS. Not to say that are also competing with Smartphones.
Nintendo is trying to compete with hype effect as always. I guess the colors won't be enough, they will also release some special limited editions.
For me it's their fault. I boycotted every game they had because of in disk DLC. There were some titles I wanted to buy and play, but no, I let my wallet do talking.
If Capcom want me has a costumer again, they just have to drop this in disk DLC fowl practice.
People are forgetting a major thing here, Valve, the fourth major player that is going to enter.
With the new UI, they are definitely going to take on Microsoft for the gaming experience and PC home centers.
And their Steam Box looks very promising too. It will certainly compete directly with consoles.
Steam is well implemented and is one of the best online services liked by players and developers.
The article has not used the right angle, but it ...
No you're right, why should Microsoft apologize for the meaningful things.
They must like ex-fans turning to the competition...
Penello is sorry because of a leak video about the UI?
They are capable of asking for forgiveness for this kind of stuff, but not for the the DRM and the 24h connection.
Their logic escapes me...
Rise has microtransactions, just like a F2P, yet it's a (bad) AAA that you pay full price. (Does any one noticed that a part from E3's video, the following video of Ryse has at the max only 5 characters in the screen (counting with your character of course))
Deep Down is a F2P like any other and yet graphicly seems very promising...
You in a week or so, people are going to use the term Valve troll instead of PS Troll... I wonder why...
I really don't think so. The console park today is must bigger than in the past. GTA V had the best start, better than COD and the PC version is still not out... Amazing selling numbers.
NES is an amazing console. Some friends of mine still create some games for it, just for the fun.
This kind of phrase from MS really pisses me off.
They either deny all the policies they supported at Xbone's launch or they'll bring those back sometime in the future...
Technically next gen consoles are already obsolete when compared with todays' computers, yet this doesn't matter at all.
Consoles depends on software not on the hardware.
Look at GTA V in current gen consoles, most sold game ever.
While there are games in a console and people to play it, a console is never obsolete!
Cerny too.
You got to love those quotes!
This guy should know that because of a certain sacred book, people have killed, tortured, lied, segregated millions of others persons for ages. It still continues.
According to is standers and arguments, it should also be considered something from the devil...
There is worst, apart from the demo at E3, that was running in PC, all of the following videos never had more than 5 characters at the same time on the screen...
Sometimes, there are thing more important than frame/rate and resolution.
The Xbone is so well balanced that you cannot put it vertically.
This would upset the balance. ^^
Publishers tend to limit the creativity of developers just by saying that the game won't sell or with cost production limitation.
Seeing how imaginative and daring Inafune is, I guess he's going to look for funds outside the classic publishing system to create something very unique, that no publisher would dare to support.
I remember choosing Castlevania SOTN over an Tomb Raider installment. My friends said that I was a tasteless fool to choose a simplistic 2D game over a amazing 3D game...
Yeah, time showed them who was right.
Well, this would work better if the Xbone had some actual indie-games at launch.
