I don't own Resistance, so I can't really comment on it. However, off the top of my head (and please correct me if I'm wrong) but in addition to 4 player co-op, Halo 3 also has the following features absent from Resistance:
- Map Editor
- Saved films feature
- Ability to edit films, take screenshots, etc
