what about spending $100 for wi-fi, $50 for online play, $179 for hd movie playback and $38.75 for controller charger for the 360? thats 367.75 extra for xbox 360 "extras" that just add what ps3 comes with.
if you really mean there are no games for the ps3 then you either aren't very bright or you aren't looking.
if you are saying that a gamer can't do or like anything else but games then your life is an isolated, empty, sad existance. and this makes you a loser.
1. ratchet and uncharted as "above average"? apparently you haven't seen these games.

i don't remember the last EA game that i bought or considered a must have.
i would love to be at the negotiation table where EA explains to the console makers how they (console makers)are going to make money on this EA system.

i bought a ps3 for the first party games and exclusive third party games: everything insomniac and naughty dog, MGS4, KZ2,FF13, GT, motorstorm,.....
i also love having the blu-ray movie playback. they look great on a 1080p tv.
if you like wii or 360-then enjoy it.there is no "right or wrong" decesion. just get what you like.

round peg, why don't you do a story on the 4 or 5 different skus microsoft is offering? or on the multiple motherboards being created to fix faulty 360 hardware that has been sold for 2 years?
or on the replacement of all the bad halo 3 discs that were sold.

what the ps3 is, IN FACT, is a hi-def games AND movie player. the price has been prohibitive as far as install base. price is coming down and will allow more to buy it.
your ranting about 1st year attach rates for 360- not too difficult to understand since they had no next gen. competition in that year.
ps3 is selling at virtually same rate as 360 has(not counting 1 year head start) and that's with the high price. stands to reason that with price cuts, sales will get better.
