He didn't "re-enable" a feature such as OtherOS, otherwise N4G would've been spammed with articles of Geohotz bringing back OtherOS to PS3. No, he re-enabled a Playstation "feature" back in the PS1 days called "Playing Backups"
@wenis
geohot's patch indirectly allows for pirated games. it's the catalyst that started it all. go to those forums and you'll see threads of "Eboots for Geohot CFW3.55"
IMO the guy should get burned. He jailbroke the iphone. Fine. He tried to jailbreak the PS3. Ok. Then he gave up and said it was pointless. Another team does the job and finds a hole then Geohotz decides to get back into the game? It's kinda obvious his inten...
Infinity Blade and Rage HD says hello. Not to mention the upcoming Deadspace game. They all say hello to Wii.
you know when you see a lot of people sitting at a table drinking their coffee at a local shop, that's how you're supposed to really hang out with your friends to chit chat. who the heck 'hangs out' with their friends by video conferencing over the net, and especially with avatars?
you know how people 'hang out' with their friends over the net? it's called multitasking- surfing the net while having multiple IM conversations. Not video confere...
see two shelves of them at the local target so .... I guess those aren't sold yet.
Can anyone care to explain why the Sprawl is infested with necromorphs? Haven't played Extraction, but from DS and DS Downfall, I'm under the impression that the necromorphs were only on the planet and in the USG Ishimura. So how the heck did it end up at the Sprawl? I hope it's not because the scientists were trying to recreate the necros. It just seems so aliens-cliche if it were that reason.
as an RT, I agree with cgoodno on everything. It's not viable and not feasible for actual healthcare. You have trained techs that do the work. Heck, not every surgeon knows how to properly read an image or have passed their fluoroscopy license. =P
Neat concept, but unlike the da Vinci that is suitable enough to replace surgical techs, this and like Gamefan has pointed out ... it's easier controlling contrast with the mouse.
the silly thing is these videos so far don't exactly require any 3D. 2D is fine and the neat tricks are heavily software by design. Sure the 3D gives the software the depth data for the 'ghost' furniture, but implementation wise it doesn't appear any more useful than traditional 2D. Now, unless these hackers make it so it can create collision detection too then that's more nifty. Even that da vinci video is nothing special since the hands are really moving in 2D space ...
and.... most people want the one with 3G or the verizon ipad/mifi bundle.
every week we see another article about Game vs PS3-game.
where are the articles of multiplat vs another multiplat or articles of multiplat vs xbox-game ?
tucky must be a bad driver in real life if he tries to avoid a collision at the last moment if he's able to see an obstruction in his path at more than 1000 feet away. And it's AI not IA.
they shoulda done what Kojipro did with MGS4 - invite the reviewers over and play thru the whole session.
these things sell like hotcakes. can't find em in target or bb. they have the bundles but i already have an xbox and just need the kinect.
to be honest, i found the menu to be cumbersome at first but then easily manageable and frankly it's quite intuitive. forza 3 (since reviewers are comparing it to that) menu is actually a mess and isn't user-friendly at all - it appears more refined but doesnt function that way.
you make a game for several years and you have to consider that it's because of numerous delays. I mean, AW was in development for several years which means numerous delays, and the media was allll over it!

well, the real driving simulator is a simulation of driving. It isn't the real crashing simulator. No where in daily routine does intentional crashing have to be a corequisite to actual driving.
it's like... I suppose... Flight Simulator or Space Shuttle Simulator. It'd be foolish to dock off points to a Space Shuttle Sim if the game didn't allow you to intentionally crash the shuttle into say... Sea World upon landing approach. Afterall, it's a sim a...
@TotalPS3Fanboy
I haven't looked up the leak yet, but if people can't play it [without the firmware update], how can they confirm that it's a legitimate leak? It could be another game disguised as a GT5 leak.

"Also that list consists MOSTLY of Japanese cars. "
it's a japanese game by a japanese developer originally for the japanese crowd released in japan and brought over here many many moons ago in the form of GT1. what the hell did you expect?
It's funny how people complain about some options they'll probably never ever use even if included.
DLC is still free if it's packed in with an msrp of $59.99. Those of us who played ME2 a year ago paid $49-59.99 (depending on where we got it) then the price of DLC after.
