It's my opinion that the "prepare to die" difficulty-marketing hurts the expansion of it's audience.
I love walking around slow, like in the trailers.
...um... cause HDD-streaming is faster than disc-streaming
I absolutely love RAGE. But it has no FPS-mulitplayer, I don't see how it can contend with these shooters.
I don't see why people get defensive over someone not liking Dark Souls.
I think most gamers hate dying, loosing progression, or starting over. This game is based around it.
And for some that's what makes it amazing; but it seems quite obvious that that fact would turn some people off.
The cover says "Prepare to Die"; well if some gamers hate dying, or re-doing section; the cover might as well say "you'll hate this game"

*sniffs airs* I think I can smell service
Oh come on!
Should I write PC reviews having never played on the platform?
"And after this seemingly forever "install" I had to look online and find out I also needed to update some "Driver" thing, I don't know how people do this!"
"and then I went to buy another graphics card to find out their $### Dollars!!! Whhaat!"(note the exaggeration)
Hey Mathew, why don't you stick with what you ...
great game! so addicted right now
Boo!
Why does every negative review mention repetition.
Sure, if your negative the game is going to seems like a downward spiral to bordum.
But if your enjoying the game the repetition is welcomed; more, more, more!
Is RAGE as open-world as we had hoped, maybe not.
But when the reviews second complaint is repetitive gameplay, it's obvious that he was on his negative-spiral by that point; cause had he b...
Rage is also a completely different game. It's not strictly a cooridor shooter. There much more to it, compared to Doom3.
Doom 4, now that's going...... wait!
*focuses on rage!**
I mustn't get ahead of myself.
I predict that both with look great.
I might get this game eventually when I'm desperate for a new title, but in the main time I'm just not looking for a game to 'kick my ass'.
IGN's review says this game doesn't care about your enjoyment. Well I do. So it seems this game and I have conflicting interest.
If i were to buy this game, and hate it for it's difficulty; I can only blame myself.
I only get what the game promised to deliver.
I enjoyed the beta immensely; although it had it's technical flaws.
I am confident that the retail version will run fine, and even more fun.
it seems this is the season of equal platforms.
Rage is IDENITICAL! (check Lens of Truth)
and Dark Souls (despite previously being an exclusive) is also Idenitical.
I forcast most multiplat this season following this pattern.
Platform comparisons were sooo 2010... lol
YES! I've honestly been waiting for a reason to justify getting X360 version.
I know PS3 beta definitly had higher-res textures (i played both). And I just have way more friends on Xbox, and they don't game enough to have two consoles, nor care about minor superiority.
But that's based over my FriendsList preference. If it weren't for online community, i choose SP games on PS3.
"It's not yet known whether the PS3 versio...
I'm kinda of sick of these BLANK_GAME # : _____
Where they know full well they aren't adding enough content to call it the next #.
(**cought** AC **cough**)
no SP! don't hate on George Lucas!
First NowGamer, and now IGN; both following LOT.
It seems everyone is getting involved in 'platform comparisons'.
excuse me? No MP!
Like no co-op what-so-ever?
@unhownhero1123
Isn't that the way SR away been?
no, not everyone. specifically only the hardcore.
and hense the casual trend of the industry; accessibility attracts more audience.
Dark Souls attract the exact opposite; the hardcore.
@DarkBlack, Dark Souls =/= a little challenge
