Very good article; much truth in it.
"What bugs me is what the van represents. It represents laziness. It represents copy-and-paste design. It represents a lack of ambition and, perhaps most irritatingly, a lack of pride."
Lazily re-using old assects is a poor excuse for saving money for other improvements.
This type of laziness from the biggest, highest-grossing franchise shows a complete lack of pride.
Exactly! I ...
Perhaps, activison, those WERE your fans. I can't imagine if someone who wouldn't spend their money on MW3, would then spend their time creating a meteoritic account to troll it.
It's quite obvious that some are fake, or exaggerating because everyone metacritic gives a 0 or 10.
But it also obvious that some are genuine COD that were disappointed.
Can anyone guess what exclusive Skryim sounds it would have.
Turn-On: Dragon roar.
Disc-open: Dovahkiin!
Disc-close: Dragon Born!!
Turn-Off: Sword-clanking SFX
Those are my guesses
gosh. PC gamers brag their games cost less. Then they brag their sales net more profit.
geez, which is it?
Why did you put it's metacritic score in brackets?

I know. How can the Xbox360 verson look so washed?
Even the HUD seems faded
AFter years of COD withdrawl, I can't believe I ever say... "More of the same!"
I think we can expect both COD, and BF to be around for, at the very least, a couple more iterations.
BF on consoles (if current gen or not) need more players in matches (not cut-down maps, as well)
I notice quite often, while playin Rush on Xbox360, that the server is only filling up to around 8-9 players, and staying consistant.

people tell me that, yet i have 2bubbles.
which really sucks!
I think Dead World sounds great. And clearly they've already picked up on one key desired feature, a larger 'world' (rather than a island)
If they need to know what to add, they should take a look at the Zombie game being made by Crytek; currently named "Class-3"
It's going to be more based around survival (Food/water/Shelter) and have a full Night/Day cycle.
I think for a zombie/survival game they should have a sign...
exact same situation with me.
I've been trying to convice all my 'non-gamer' friends to try BF3. They will NOT.
My friends (whom all only buy 2-3games/yr) all say "well... I'm getting MW3/NHL/Madden First, then maybe I'll try blank_recommended_game later"
They never end up trying anything else.
Another quote that it VERY common is "COD is all I need"
These are the same ...
... or last chance to send Activison their thoughts before they go on a fat vacation.

I was under the impression (from listening to their Gameplay Demos) that Skyrim was built on a new engine.
(and it looks a lot better than NV)
Here's to hoping for very few similarities (with GameBryo/NV).
I actually find this very interesting.
Because when your in a Game-Store; a parent may give permission that overrides the rating (the store isn't going to refuse the sale)
Likewise with Game-Rentals; a store will advise that it has a M-rate, but as long as their is a adult present, they'll still allow the younger-player.
And furthuremore Activison is not going to ban any GT/PSN ID over the age of the account. (they will assume the player has b...
GameBryo?!?
Isn't that the engine what ruined New Vegas?
Because the Stats that Elite track exclusively come from M-rated content.
Giving under-18s access to the Stats-tracking is indirectly approving of under age players, and showing little concern for the ESRB.
But it doesn't matter, there's absolutely no way activison will let Elite stay 18+. It would alienate the majority of their fanbase.
Does anyone know whether Halo Waypoint has a ESRB rating?
For what? Doing an XP-glitch that IGN posts on their Youtube channel.
Can you really blame the players when reputable gaming-media practically provide a walkthrough on how to do it.
My mistake, their are refering to actual hackers, and not (pathetic) exploiters.
color me surprised.
and the sky is blue? Lies.
COD has become the McDonalds of the gaming-industry.

Do you blame the company for making the product their customer keep buying? No; they're a business.
Should you, in good-conscious, support that business's business practices? No.
Would you rather the world be without it entirely? Of course not.
Do you still buy it? Yes, regretibly each time.
Is the world ever going to change? probably not.
