First off Dreamcast was made to be easy to develop for. Same way as Xbox series.
Second Dreamcast came out a year earlier (or at least earlier).
Third Peter Moore worked for Sega and promoted the Dreamcast
Fourth Dreamcast had an established game library and PS2 had nothing when it came out
Five Microsoft is not gaining any third party support (anymore at least) and actually lost some (Haze). Is there any upcoming Xbox 360 exclusives...
i was actually really hyped about Assassin's creed. but now I don't know. It doesnt look that great anymore. The combat looks too complicated in an unneccessary way. It looks like you gotta lock on targets before you can swing your weapon.
And it looks a bit repetitive. It sounds like it's almsot always kill this guy and get away. I'm still a bit excited because of the story but I don't really know if I'm gonna get it anymore.

To compare Halo sold over 5 million, Metal Gear Solid 2 sold 7 million and MGS3 sold almost 4 million.

I think Sony couldn't hold the price 499$ for long and that's why they discontinued the 60gb and made a 80gb to have an excuse to put the price up again. Unless they're making a 40gb (or lower?) I don't expect to see a PS3 on the shelf for 399 for a year or two. 499$ sounds very reasonable though.
yeah i'm not too big of a fan of this blog stuff either. and they always sound contradictory. Resistance was a killer app and came before Warhawk. Motorstorm for some were a killer app. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was a killer app. Oblivion although a bit old was a killer app.
Xbox got DVD9 which means it can store up to 9gb, but the part about it uses up some of it space for various stuff (drm probably like you mentioned) only 7gb are usable.

Intel is a BIG HD DVD supporter. Last time I checked they were HD DVD exclusive. Don't know what sort of impact they would have, but I don't see Asus' impact either.

Your brother can still play warhawk if he wants whenever you're not playing. With BioShock 2k is saying you can't which is very strict imo. I remember Starcraft even had the functionality of playing LAN with only one cd (by installing multiplayer only) which was badass. I think warcraft III also had a similiar function. But with bioshock they're saying, nope only the owner of the game can play ...
