Will PlayStation eat Xbox alive in 2024? Judging by 2023, I'd say that is a distinct possibility.
In terms of first party games, I have no idea what Sony have coming for PS5 this year, nor Xbox for that matter.
But in terms of exclusives, well I have FF7 Rebirth pre ordered. That's likely to be one of the biggest games of the year imo.
Actually the opposite. It's about division and not inclusion.
You've heard of the phrase "divide and conquer" right? Well this is exactly that. They're not about bringing people together, they're about putting people into silos. Makes them easier to manipulate.
Does it matter?
Insidious. More bothered about pushing narratives than creating a compelling story.
This needs to happen
Dredd. Come on now, you know you want to see it. Get Karl Urban involved. Give us the Dredd sequel we all want.
The word "underwhelming" is synonymous with Xbox these days 😂
Online gaming really did take off in the PS360 era for sure, but it had been dabbled in before. The PS2 had a network adaptor add on, the Dreamcast was also online capable, and Xbox live started on the original Xbox. Of course the online gaming as we know it today really began on PS360.
As for graphics, I'd argue that the bigger leap leap was the SNES/ Mega Drive to PS1/Saturn/N64 was a bigger leap. I know the Jaguar and 3DO tried it, but they generally suffered from ...
The Saturn was a 2D powerhouse but didn't really excel at 3D. The PS1, even with its weird graphical warping, was more suited to 3D and quite often outperformed the Saturn in this respect, but conversely it often got outperformed by the Saturn when it came to 2D games.
Hell no. I want games that have been made by creative minds who have a passion for their craft, not a bot with a penchant for plagiarism.
Steam Deck is a PC though, so it should fall under the same banner surely? It may be trying to replicate the console experience but it's still a PC.
Have to say I think the deck is excellent. I mainly use mine for indies and emulation. For AAA games I gave my PS5, now coupled with a PS Portal.
I don't know what it is, I just couldn't get into it. Yes it looked nice but that's about it, it was just boring to play for me.
As for MK1 - I also played the demo of this as I had originally had it pre ordered, but as soon as I played the demo I cancelled it and I'm glad I did. I didn't like the Kameo mechanic, actually I thought it was a cop out that about a third of the roster wasn't even playable because they were cameos. I didn't like the ...
Played the demo on PS5. Wasn't impressed. It's not bad per se, it's just...meh.
Mind you, I think I'm falling out of love with fighting games these days because SF6 and MK1 didn't grab me either.
I didn't either, until this article. I'm also surprised, since GR was a commercial flop. Seems weird that they'd want to invest money into making it into a film.
I think the games are great though, especially on Vita. I think the move to PS4 killed the experience a little, but I'd still like to see a new one.
I know you're trying to be funny but...nope. I can't stand COD. You won't find that game anywhere near my PS5. Or any game from ABK for that matter.
Forget Gravity Rush movie, give us another GR game!
Yay. Now more people get to experience Aloy's godawful attitude.
Great game, let down by a seriously irritating lead character.
I really don't care. I don't spend that long on my PS5's UI, and it looks fine to me as it is.
Activision Blizzard and Xbox are top of my list.
Just wait. This is the year of Xbox! We've heard this every year for a decade now. One day it might be true 😂
