Microsoft's future in the game space isn't murky at all. They've planned for a long time to drop hardware and become a multi platform publisher. For them it's much more profitable than making games purely for their own hardware. It's no coincidence that they've spent so much money on buying up some of the biggest studios with the most profitable IPs in the business. They didn't do that just to restrict the sales of those games to one single platform.

How is that relevant to Microsoft?

But is he not capitalist himself? And come on he works for one of the biggest and richest corporations on the planet. If that's not capitalism then I don't know what is.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for capitalism, but I think Phil is being just a teensy weensy bit hypocritical here.

No Blood Omen? Even today it's one of my favourite vampire games. We could really do with a release on modern platforms.

The DualSense is one of the best things about PS5. For me it's one of the best controllers ever made.

It really is. It's great for being able to watch ad free videos on YouTube of the games you can't play on Xbox

Not even played the first one yet.

Very good for the most part, apart from Act 3, when it stutters a fair bit. Doesn't detract too much though

Well no, because that would basically make it a PC. A pretty low end PC. Whereas, by keeping it a closed system like it is now, it's a pretty high end games console, and avoids the compatibility issues of PCs. Not to mention it would open it up to security vulnerabilities and hackers

He wants everything doesn't he? He wants to own every game publisher and developer, wants PlayStation games on Xbox, and now Epic on Xbox? Next he'll be saying that Steam should be on Xbox. I mean why not? He's already toyed with the idea of buying Valve and even Nintendo.

Does he even live in the real world? I'm sick of him. I used to find him funny, but now he just irritates me.

...what?

No, it's adorable.

Yup. No digital only console will ever get my money.

The PS5 isn't the prettiest console ever for sure, but it at least tries to look different. The Series X is basically just a boring looking mini PC tower.

Well isn't that just the most adorable thing?

744d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

Hasn't this been the case with games for a long time now though, especially when bought digitally?

Not saying it's right, but most games are this way now. It's why I don't buy digital games.

This could be the break from RPGs that I'll be needing once I finish Infinite Wealth, and before I start Rebirth

I wouldn't be surprised 😂

I also question why PS5 Pro is happening. We still haven't shaken off the previous gen yet. This generation has been really slow to get going. To me it seems we haven't really seen what this generation is truly capable of and now we're talking Pro consoles? I just don't see the need for them at this point.

Maybe the key to getting more out of the current hardware is devs optimise their code better? Seems that too many games are released now that perform belo...

Exactly. How can't people see that their plan was to eventually drop hardware and go multi platform - essentially becoming the biggest publisher in the industry?

The disagrees you got shows there's a lot of people in denial over it.
