I doubt if it is as good as mgs 4, but it is probably better than gears or halo.
Then its a certainty in. And the 360 is dead in Japan. MS really needs to give up on Japan and maybe look for more western exclusives or western start-up studios they can grow.
My prediction is Conviction won't be a 360 exclusive any longer than the first one was an xbox exclusive.
And I think I played it over 14 hours one night without getting killed that often or having to redo any parts.

I so hope this game turns out to be the gaming equivalent of the very best Thomas Ligotti stories.
I don't believe anyone beat UnCharted in one sitting. There was just so much to see and do and savor. If they did beat it in one sitting, then they must have sat there for twenty + hours with cheat codes or a cheat sheet with them.
Instead, I feel that the people that say it is short are trying to knock the length of the game when they probably haven't played it and are trying to dig at it because games like Gears on the 360 don't have any more than a 10 to 12 hour story mode....
I don't really feel that Uncharted is going for the whole Hollywood thing. I mean there hasn't been a Hollywood adventure of its quality probably since the original Indiana Jones series. it was certainly better than Crystal Skull and the Jolie Tomb Raider movies.
Instead, I feel it is going for what those old serials and novels like those by H. Rider Haggard and Talbot Mundy were aiming for and they supplied spectacuar spills, thrills, and chills for extended lengths of time....
Uncharted one was awesome. I greatly preferred it to Gears of War because there was just so much more to do. It wasn't a one trick pony and it had good length throughout. A lot of people compare it to Gears or Tomb Raider, and it was a bit like both of those games though I found it to be better in many respects However, I've always thought it was like those games and ICO as well due to the quality of the puzzle platforming in the game. Another Game of the Year contender emerges to join Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and Batman Arkham Asylum PS3. The momentum in this gen has completely shifted the PS3's way now.

I don't even know why MS is attending this conference. shortly after the release of FFXIII and GT5 later this year in Japan, Japanese sales for the consoles will be at 5 million PS3 consoles sold in Japan to les than 1.5 million sold 360s sold there, so most all Japanese HD development is ramping up to be PS3 exclusives.
1. Final Fantasy XIII (when it is released in the US)
2. GT5 (it will be out this year if only in Europe and Japan)
3. Uncharted 2
4. God Of War Collection (Didn't play them on PS2)
5. Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
And it will remain so for the rest of the year with Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5, and FFXIII on the way.

It can hold its own with some of the niche games that are on Wii like Fragile and Muramasa if those types of games are the primary reasons you would want to buy a Wii.
And Heavenly Sword is a superior game too.
Good review. Exactly what I expected from this game. It's probably closer to an 8.5 than a 9.5 than any previous Halo has been. The series is old and getting tired.
The sad thing is this game will probably sell at least 5 million copies while the latest Ratchet and Clank which is probably more deserving of doing so won't.
However, I also think that if you're going to get a Wii, then you probably also have to figure a 360 into the cost so that you don't miss out on games like Arkham Asylum, Final Fantasy XIII, and Bayonetta.
You don't have to do that if you get just a PS3 which has awesome western games from Sony studios like God of War and games from Insomniac and Naughty Dog and most of the best Western third party games -- Fallout 3 -- as well as awesome Japanese games like The Last Guardian, ...
I would get one of each of their systems if they brought Wii down to $150.00. And DS Lite down to $80.00.
There are some games I would like to get for both systems: No More Heroes, Fragile, Muramasa, the Wii version of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and quite a few on DS actually.
However, I don't think the value of either system is really more than what I stated before.

Yeah, xbox live is overpriced. And the worst thing was they started making exclusives on there where you had to wait a couple of weeks to download some of the free trailers and demoes if you weren't a gold subscriber. Xbox Live shouldn't cost any more than $25.00 a year and its price cuts down on the amount of xbla games you can get if you're on a budget.
