Actually, we don't know how big the Japanese market is for HD games. What we do know is that games like Yakuza 3 and White Knight Chronicles have sold almost twice as many copies as the bestselling 360 games (they even lifted the PS3 over the Wii in Japan February through April earlier this year.)
Also there have many more pre-orders for Tales of Vesperia PS3 so far than the number of copies that sold on 360.

Yeah, but those comments about FFXIII were made before Christmas 2009 when exclusive FFXIII and GT5 drove the PS3 over the 5 million mark sold in Japan by February 2010 while the 360's sales in Japan remained a woeful sub 1.5 million consoles sold in Japan there giving Japanese studios little reason to develop 360 games.

The other reviews that give it poor scores were probably paid for by MS or something to try and derail some of Sony's current momentum. Eurogamer giving it a 7 just reveals Eurgamer's bias, I mean they only gave MGS4 a better game than anything on 360 an 8. So, it doesn't surprise me that they would give it a bad score.

Nintendo lowering the price of their console is to entice more gamers to get their system and to get their momentum going again like it used to be. The PS3 selling 550,000 worldwide last week being led to destruction by the hardcores. I wouldn't call the 2 million more consoles that the PS3 will sell in Japan though the holidays and following the release of GT5 and FFXIII as being led to destruction either.

$199 isn't enough to sway me to get a Wii. I can get a good blu-ray player, at the very least the second best console on-line ( and actually the best in my book because I can't afford $50.00 a year for xbox live) gaming, and PS3 and HD exclusives like Batman: Arkham Asylum (with Joker content), Assassin's Creed 2, Fallout 3, MGS4, GTA IV, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Demon Souls, Afrika, Ratchet and Clank, Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian, and Uncharted 2 on PS3 for only $299.

I just got mine (or purchased it on ebay and it will hopefully be here soon). So, I'm doing my part.
However, I saw one analyst say that they are going to start to become scarce towards the end of this month and through the holiday season, so I don't know if I'll open it up and play it or try to sell it for $5,000.00 in a few weeks.
