Although i disagree with the review (i don't even like fps), but it is his opinion. That what u do, read different reviews and see if they match your taste or not to help u decide on the purchase.
@ksoto
Other people may lie, but it seems like you are lying to yourself (just a hunch, since you haven't post any concrete evidences to say other wise).
Do u guys have anything new to say beside the same fanboy BS, " nothing beat....KZ, ...
or maybe some people just put themselves on the high pedestal thinking they are somehow better than the rest, when the truth is quite the opposite.
I think there are plenty games out there that are better than CoD, but do i go around and say people don't have taste? I think that is the problem right there, u guys think too highly of yourself.
Although i must say, CoD did bring something new to fps MP.
i think they ment the olympic (part of the kinect sport package), not the real olympic. Do you know how much training people actually have to go through for the real one? It is insane and even that, you have to be the best of the best to have a chance of winning any medals.
ah i see the new tactic. Saying Gears look better than crysis 2 -> then say but gears doesn't look as good as UC/KZ/GoW etc....show some old pictures and wala.....Ps3 exclusives still the best. I see it quite often (funny no one ever mention Dead space 2/resident evil/RDR....etc...):D insteresting tactic.
Bread and butter of gears is the gameplay, great game modes (horde/beast mode for example), great coop etc...and that what gear does best (gameplay). I think many...
I thought Crisis 2 main focus was the gameplay (beside the great graphics). It is like MGS w/ halo and semi open super hero game. Throw a grenade somewhere else, cloak and ran to another direction for flanking. There are just so many ways to approach a fight and that is the best thing about crysis. I don't even like FPS (because of run and gun), but this is more like a strategy type fps. If you ran out of ammo, just grab a keyboard and throw at the enemies. There are some notable gl...
and then i see a bunch of you guys talking about how other people don't know anything about tech....then chattered on without any discussion of the technical aspect that you fond of except posting some pictures. Then perhaps you guys should give some technical explanation then, enlighten other people and show that you aren't monkeys and chimps.
i think someone missing LandStalker from Sega. It is on the same caliber of crono trigger (each with very innovative game play and story) for me. That and also zelda (ocarina of time). Some nes ones are great too (dragon warrior).
@ksoto
"the fact that when something it overwhelmingly favored or liked it holds weight to the claim" very valid point (hey it is according to the majority rules in debate, until it is proven)
So as Ksoto, would it be the same when something is overwhelmingly unfavored or dislike, that it holds weight to the claim as well? Same rules same application.
Then why this:
"as for kz3's metacritic review lol we al...
@sku7790tz
lets get this straight:
1. What features in GT5 that hasn't been done before that turn 10 copies? The only thing i could think of is the track editor (actually seem to ruin the way the map looks and add glitchy effects) and maybe head tracking (I think it has been done before, but not sure). Developers get inspiration from each other and try to do things different or better. It is the same for PD.
2. the rewind feature is opti...
MAG isn't a bad game. Far from it, but the problem is finding a good match (people that actually want to play strategically vs run and gun). It is a hit and miss kinda game so that is the limiting factor for MAG unfortunately. It is a massive action game, but fail as a mass apeal game.
no one would be offensive by that. That is your decision and well why would i oppose you for doing what you want. Although from the record, i think Sony fanboy care more about that (or maybe just on N4G). U don't know how many times have i gotten private messages from sony fanboy telling me to sell my "shitty" x360 for a PS3 that does everything (funny cause it doesn't pay my mortgage, social life, social entertainment, and many other importants living necessity, and it d...
Well then, Crytek is pretty good at keeping game similar on both platforms.
@darkride66
That is exactly right. Resolution doesn't matter, it is what running underneath and the overal techniques that counts. Although i think u should tell that to the rest of the Sony fanboy or those who were bashing crysis for running a little below HD resolutions.
@ksoto
Look, if you based on metacritic (which you guys do used now), generally people have been given ps3 games higher score than x360 (true), but possibly since PS3 does have more exclusives than x360 (if you don't count x360 and PC exclusives). UC2 is also a great game and thus recieve high praise. There is nothing to argue about that. But UC2 is not the game to end all game. There are many other great games out there (GTA, RDR, halo, ME, etc...) as well (if you ...
yeah i totally agree.
Each brand of TV has their own proprietary 3D glasses (supposedly only work with their TVs), which i thought is really stupid.
so what did Bluwulf said about it ran in subHD vs HD? I'm pointing out exactly why HD resolution doesn't mean anything when you consider what is running underneath it. It is a few textures below native 720p, and fanboys really make a big deal out of it as being subHD? Really? Bluwulf really ran out of excuses for why KZ3 is technically better than crysis. And guess what, that all he ever says, never had anything concrete to back it up either.
There, i just point ...
well i don't see why it would be a bad thing for MS if ps3 owner buying kinect. (it is at 150 almost the same as xbox arcade).
I like gamespot reviews. They are pretty fair and criticize harshly in a good way. Great game (on either console) indeed. Although the only people that may have problem are the PC peep, unless they start giving DX11 support, cause as of right now, it seem they are catering to consoles.
so are you saying deffered lighting is better and more taxing on consoles than forward lighting?
And FYI, cryteck use multiple lighting techs (including deffered lighting, but their main focus is the dynamic ones).
"Other developers have done what they have done & more on the PS3, without having to restrict the game to a SUBHD resolution with a low framerate & popin problems + an install to run the game normally" yes, because Crysis 2 ...
well then i sure hope you guys don't cal Lense of truth as lens of lies anymore alright? Be consistent man.
Well then perhaps you should say it is your opinion and your alone. Don't pass it around as fact because it isn't. Fact is something that can be proven like technical discussions for example. Opinion is like art style discussion. Opinion is not fact, because it vary from person to person. Fact is probably the most miss used word on n4g because it seems people just don't understand what that actually means. U can't just add Fact, without any thing to back it up, and expect ...
