yeah, that is my combo as well. Cover both long and short range. I do like Gears 2 SP and not so much on MP cause of the problems they had earlier, but it is still fun playing horde mode w/ friends (most addictive gamemode so far).
i really like their new take on team death match ideas (the team sharing a pool of limited lives). It could be epic if one guy left can obliberate the entire opposing team (which is quite possible with gears when you have skills).
so are u holding a remote control at all times while watching movie? If not then voice control would be much faster right? But even with the remote in hand, voice would still be faster because you still have to scroll through the fastforward icon and then click it with the remote. Try it and see which one is faster to implement. Unless u have like a tv remote.

The hacks do show some interesting potentials, they just need to implement into games that works. Again, developer is the key.

Currently, it is a good device for like party or social events. When you have people over to play games together, it is a blast, most fun i had in a while. If you aren't interested in dancing games, but like sport, kinect sport is actually pretty great game and really fun. U can also play online against other too if you don't have friend over. And if you like to attract some female friends, dance central might not be too bad if you think about it.

Nice...i always think the sniper in gears is one of the best, if not the best, sniper rifle in shooting games (just my opinion though). You can feel the sounds and the explosive impact that it makes.
When people know what they are doing, it really shows the game's true potential.
I haven't used steam before, so how does it work? Do u only need to pay for things u purchase but everything else (chat, cross invite, etc.....) are free?

Although perhaps certain games that you want hasn't been done on kinect yet? Kinect isn't backward compatible like wii mote or move so quick implementation isn't possible. It requires an entirely new coding and implementation.

1. game development cost also increase -> like chozen woan said (before: few people working on 1 game, now: 100 or even more just for one game and longer development time as well).
2. would people buy new consoles at higher price in this economy? I would say highly unlikely. If that is true, then game developers won't see high return. They already result to selling DLCs (to make up on development costs, etc...) as it is.

Dice utilize a lot of spu tech for battlefield 3, catering specifically to ps3's hardware (the main reason why many fanboy claims 3rd party as being lazy for not using ps3 spu for development).
