Entertaining read, in the 80's that was pretty much exactly how video games were depicted on tv. What is bad is I imagine this is similar to how the dinosaurs in the government still view gaming.
If not allowing my children to be scarred by some sicko using his ps3 to get his rocks off, that's my business. And I don't think that qualifies as bad parenting. You two obviously don't have children, and if you do you should reavuluate your priorities.

I racked up about 500,000 gold using this simple glitch. If they have people in the game react to you like a thief/cheater or made your player start to deform evily, that would actually be pretty cool. But if I get banned or the lemon gamerpic because they didn't test their game good enough, I'll beat somebodies a**.
I'm not the person claiming a multi-billion dollar corporation loves me. Whether you want to talk about MS or Sony, both see consumers the same way. Neither are in this "relationship" for "love", they just want your f**king money, period. lol
If by love you mean they see a talking wallet when they look at you, then yes they love you.
The 360 is already in the black, and has been for awhile now.
That's because the ps3 wasn't built to make a profit on the console itself. The ps3's purpose is to forward Sony's monopoly on the blu-ray movie format. The profit will come from this monopoly on the blu-ray movie format. The ps3 is just the syringe used to inject blu-ray into the publics homes. The profit will come in hdtv, home theatre, and movie sales. Not to mention the royalties Sony will get for letting other companies use their tech.
If it ever comes to ps3, it's highly likely Valve won't do it. Gabe Newell wipes his a** with pictures of Ken Kutaragi. It would probably be done by EA like The Orange Box was.
You can tell the guy that wrote this had a very intense time with the game. You know you had a great time when you make friends with a stranger after playing a game together.
I feel the same way, except about the ps3. Little Big Level Editor is of no interest to me, and Resistance 1 was generic, so I'm having a wait and see attitude regarding Resistance 2. I've considered selling my ps3 and 4 games because I only use it once every blue moon.
I've actually got 4 games that I am getting for 360 this year, Fable 2, Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, and Fallout 3. The only ps3 game I might check out is Resistance 2, but that will only be after the reviews come in. Ps3 exclusives have a bad habit of not living up to the hype. Ah, probably just rent it.
A couple bugs to fix isn't a big deal, devs sometimes fix upwards of 100 bugs in a day during the polishing of a build. Also, it doesn't release until Oct 21, that's almost 2 monthes from now.
I think that Home is a little "too much", I also think that it will become a den for pedophiles. I can see already sexual deviants luring kids to their "home" space filled with porn. It's going to happen. My children will not be using it.

I would much rather play this on my 51' hdtv, while laying on my bed with a headset on, than slumped over a 25' PC screen with no voice chat and all the technical snafu's that go with pc gaming.

I've got a ps3, and the only exclusive game the ps3 has that's close to Gears is MGS4. And the best looking graphics that I have seen for either console is the 360 version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Look for yourself.

It's not like Resistance 1 was that great graphically anyway, it wouldn't be hard to improve on it. And KZ2 covers it's flaws by making literally everything the same color shade. Ah, nevermind I'm not going to argue with two Sony fans in a 360 story, it's pointless anyway. Gears of War is still pne of the top 2 best looking games so far this generation.
Because I own a ps3 and 360, and if I had to get rid of one, it would be the ps3 no questions asked. The ps3 sucks so bad, I doubt that I'll be buying Sony's next overhyped console.
