Kevin I agree. This pricecut, if anything, has been scheduled for a couple years. The first price drop was exactly a year ago. Anyone that claims this is desparation is silly.
Let me make something clear to everyone. Someone owning both a 360 & ps3, doesn't make them a ps3 fanboy. I literally don't know ANYONE that owns both, and does more gaming on the ps3. Not saying that some people don't, but they are certainly a rarity.

Some of you european(and N.A.)ps3 fans might as well get used to that idea. The ps3 is already too far behind, and it doesn't have the mindshare like 360 does here. And for good reason, I'm still waiting on those E3 2005 quality graphics to come out of the ps3, and the many other lofty claims(lies)sony made about "teh powah uf da Cell". The only thing keeping the ps3 afloat in N.A. is the ps2 and blu-ray movies.
Enough with the anime games. It's starting to get annoying.
I've got those games, and I've got the 360 version of SCDA. And they are good looking games. I think Splinter looks better, and it does alot more graphically. It's obvious in the video I posted as well. Do you have a 360 and a copy of SCDA?

Imo, the 360 version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent is easily the best looking game released so far this gen, for any console.
What I understood about it, is that you will no longer be able to use content other than what is on the psn store. Hence you won't be visiting peoples "homes" with "Gay Cowboy 9" playing on their virtual Bravias, or listening to "Confession's of a Middle-Aged Crack Addict" on a virtual sony stereo.
I think Sony is doing the right thing if this is true. This will keep Home from becoming a "den" of perverts and pedophiles, which it surely would have become. Although they promised these features, and are now breaking that promise. I respect them for taking the high road. Judging by the demented behavior of the Sony fanboy population that has infected this site(imo 100x worse than Live is allegedly). I think they made a good decision.
First, on average there are more consoles sold in N.A. in a month than Europe and Japan combined. Second, my post was in regards to 2007, when the ps3 was still at $500-$600. The ps3 wasn't selling good anywhere last year, even in Japan. We will find out at the end of this year just how well the ps3 is actually doing. I'm betting right now they are sitting at probably 11-12mil in retail sales with 3.5-4 mil in the retail channel.

Sony flooded the retail channel the first year the exact same way MS did. 360 outsold the ps3 every month of 2007 everywhere except Japan. Then magically at the end of the year Sony had sold 10 mil ps3's, and supposedly had "outsold" the 360 in 2007. And those are NPD, Chartrac, and Media Create numbers.
Ps3 had only 3 mil in actual sold units in N.A. at the end of 2007. No on this earth can make me believe they sold over 7 mil units everywhere else.
He needs to just go ahead die, so no one has hear him spewing lies and Sony PR horsesh*t in every 360 story that gets posted.
Sony didn't put out a AAA title for ps3 until 2 years after it launched. Give it up Ali, you are a confused dumbf**k.
