I wonder why they re-released these on the Switch only? They're missing out on potential sales. I really hope they port Gothic 3 next, that's the one I want to play the most. The PC version unfortunately doesn't have controller support. If they port Gothic 3, and then release the entire trilogy as a physical copy on PS5 I'd be over the moon.

They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.
Ubisoft have always gotten a lot of flack over the years, but lately they're really going out of their way to make gamers hate their guts. I've always loved their open-world titles, but DRM/internet-required for single-player physical games is the last straw for me. I never bought Avatar because of this crap, and they can shove Outlaws up their f***ing ass.

The only thing that will disappoint me is the fact it will likely run at 30 fps on PS5/SX.
This game had such a strict time limit. Way too strict. I'd often beat missions with one or 2 seconds left on the clock, never actually managed to beat the game from what I recall, but it's been over 2 decades since I played it.
So it's some online-only "social" bullshit? Hard pass.
Three single-player games in a row they've done this with now. Those f***ers weren't kidding when they said gamers need to be comfortable with not owning their games. As a physical collector, and somebody who enjoys Ubisoft's open worlds, this is a nightmare scenario for me. Absolute scumbag company.
