"Can't escape the shadow of its creator"
This has been stated as a negative...how?
One of the many objectives for Square is to focus on things they are good at and are known for.
No one wants a game made for the western market like Forespoken. I am glad they sold the rights to Tomb Raider, Hitman and De Deus Ex.
Take From Software, they know exactly what they are good at and they capitalize on it. When I get their games I know exactly what I am getting.
It should be the same for square Enix, I want to play great JRPG whether it turn-ba...
No, Hogwarts Legacy isn't popular because gamers want a rich open world...this is actually Hogwarts Legacy's Biggest flaw.
It's popular because people wanted a good harry potter game and finally got one. Not to forget the free marketing that the game got from the people hating on JK R.
The open world is very Formulaic. It is Everything a generic open world has but only has a coat of the harry potter universe. The game is also very easy. The is for some reason a l...
This is a big win for gamers as they will have the option to choose where they want to play COD.
Whether it's Gamepass, Cloud on mobile, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and PC.
COD will be even more accessible than ever and it doesn't change how you normally play COD.
The most notable on here is COD on the cloud. Without a doubt, the latency and quality will improve over time.
That means 3 Billion mobile gamers will have access to play COD ...
"No, you didn't properly voice your thought."
"Basically, it's like High on life...You either laugh or hating it people you hold certain views."
What do you think I meant when I said when people hold a certain view? It's kinda obvious isn't it. We are talking about a controversial game.
"Nah, reviewers can review however they want and we can have an opinion on how they do it. That's how it's always been.&quo...
You misunderstood.
By personal view in this context, I meant viewing things from a political and ideological lens.
Nowadays games are being judged through that lens and which lowers the score, leading to unrealistic verdict for a game.
On the other hand, I am also reading some reviews of the game that score this game badly purely on the basis that the studio is Russian.
A game needs to seriously offend, and blatantly preach hateful messages to be given a...
Not true...at all
The game is very much self-aware.
When I came across Nora for the first time, I never laugh so loud.
Basically, it's like High on life...You either laugh or hating it people you hold certain views.
It's sad to see people's personal view impact a score of a game so much.
"February 21 is the day Vladmir Putin signing a decree that recognised the independence of multiple regions in eastern Ukraine, an act which only two days later led to the Russian invasion of the country."
"2023 has made judging a game purely on its own merits far more difficult than it used to be."
Honestly, You cannot make this up.
There you go...modern day Journalism
The game's score is purely political.
Ratin...
I see, I see.
The problem is not the game its the reviewer.
He says The game's combat system could work better outside of a first-person perspective.
Not an FPS fan
Weapons can be augmented with elemental cartridges, and certain upgrades are only obtainable through challenging puzzle dungeons.

Capcom can easily get a small team together and make these kinds of games and set up a trend of demakes.
With the tech we have nowadays, developers can churn up a story, the same tank gameplay in a month. Put it up in the store for a fiver and and watch it turn into millions
This piece makes no sense and is piggybacking on the 'Cannibalization' topic that was so quickly misinterpreted. This is clear that so-called gaming Journalism will always be a point of ridicule.
If you spend £120 a year on gamepass
£120 * 30 Million subscribers = £3.6 Billion a year from gamepass
*Some people will say that people are still paying £1 for the service. Don't take your practice and act as if the whole...
@ApocalypseShadow
So your point is that they potentially can more money if they are out in the market on their own.
Lets take some examples:
Small Indie Game: Unpacking
Exclusivity purchase: £1-5 Million
Revenue from steam sales = £ 6 million
With gamepass money= £7 million-£11 million
Medium Indie game: High on Life
Exclusivity purchase: £10-20 Million
Revenue from st...
I don't think you understand how gamepass makes money.
I have not bought an Xbox-exclusive game since Xbox game pass released. But instead, Xbox has extracted more money out of me through game pass.
Let's say on average I buy 1 exclusive Xbox game in a year. That £55 but with gamepass I am subscribing for £120 a year. And I won't be unsubscribing because the value of the games I have is so great.
But the question is did me getting tha...

You can have spin-off but overall Halo's main story centres around the master chief.
What 343i needs to avoid at all cost is avoiding telling additional canon stories through it books. Right now the book are more interesting that the game's story where it should be the other way around.
This whole behind-the-scenes business need to come to an end.
I suggest they do what they did with Halo CE and Halo 2 Anniversary where they had short animated...
There is no cap so why do you think that they will stop at 30 million subs. Last year was not the best year for Xbox as they didn't release big exclusives so there was no incentive to subscibe.
This year, on the other hand, they have multiple exclusives that are releasing. I am confident that HI FI rush brought in a lot of sub, also there are Starfield, Redfall, Stakler, Hollow knight SS, Forza and many more coming out. The gamepass lineup for this year is vastly bigger than last...
Wasn't it obvious though?

It was a really good game and a much-needed game for the genre of hack and slash to survive on consoles...last time we got a game like this was DMC5...Sorry, Bayonetta 3 your not really utilising the full power of consoles.
Xbox/Bethesda should funnel more money to Tango GameWorks for a bigger sequel and HI FI rush is a bigger success than the other XGS games.
When they announce the initiative I wished that they made a new IP.
But on the other hand, MS had Perfect Dark as an IP so I do not see how they would let it lay dormant.
This is modern-day journalism here.
That's what I don't understand.
They won't be a one trick pony. Jrpg is an umbrella term for many types of games e.g turn based, tactical turn base, action hack and slash and many more.
Take a look at Atlus with there studios, the SMT series, persona, soul hackers....all of them jrpg.
From software
With the soulsborne series
They know we'll what they are good at.
There is no reason to make a g...
