The free pass this game is getting is a little troubling. I like the game, I got it at 60 bucks and I just don't feel it's worth it. It's not bad. It's fun and the nostalgia is through the roof. If you grew up in the 80's and loved the golden era of wrestling and you get it and understand what it was all about -- And no you can't just "GET IT" by watching old tapes and clips. You have to have been there and experienced it while it was happening.

Bout time they do something new with the series. I haven't be able to finish one since Resident Evil C.V. (loved that one, but Sega had more to do with it than Capcom) -- I got RE5 with move and it was horrible. Don't even get me going on RE4, which, to me, was the worst in the series other than RE2 and Survivor.
Another yawner -- I wonder what Psone game they're gonna give us + subscribers for free AGAIN next month? I'm hoping it's Crash Bandicoot or Spryo. I can't contain myself as the tension and anticipation mounts for next month when we finally find out which of those two mega blockbusters we can download for the 5th time.
You would think that making a cod anouncment mere months after the last ##@t bomb dropped would turn consumers off. But it don't. It actually makes them happy. Are gamers this stupid?
Edit - I have never played cod online. Well past the demo they had. I didnt like it. I hate 99% of all fps. And I hate online gaming.
I hated it at first, but am slowly coming around to it. If it has a good single player I'm game. I'm not an online gamer. It's jusr not worth my time. I don't have the time to invest to actually compete.
What sequel can we expect now? Yawn - Yawn
The shadow looks like one of the Beatles on top of it. I know, it's the long awaited 'Magical mystery tour' game from sony bend!
While sony is out patching their 200th security hole and not giving the gamer what they truly want, microsoft is making strides. This will be a game changer.
Dispell it all you want -- any update that brings more to the table is a stride. Xbox360 owners didn't have bdr, they had hddvd. So any disc upgrade is a win for these guys. At least microsoft is doing something. Sony is probably sitting around plotting their next security update.
Out of all the games it could be, they pick this garbage. Medevil sucked bad. Both of them. They are depressing and bland. And online is only going to make it worse. Dispensable game. Every online only game is disposable.
How many of these are they gonna make? So sick of these.
Ps3 version tops it out, man. Crazy.
Ps3, wow. It actually has almost zero jaggies on the dashboard and there is actual detail in the seats on the PS3 version. The xbox 360 version is solid matt. It just doesn't look as smooth.
PS3 might be getting it's leg up after 4 years.
I got it, hold off. It's good -- but it's not 60 dollars good. It wears thin very quickly. IT's alright, don't get me wrong. I do like the nostalgia of the classics but the new wrestlers suck and there just isn't a lot of presentation here. It lacks a lot of stuff I fear they will be adding next round or, even worse, through DLC.
Having bought it, and I do like it, I still have to say wait for the follow up. Why? Because the issues the game has will no doubt be adressed.
1. The roster is weak, missing many people who should be in but aren't. The thing is, I fear some of the ones in now won't return in the next game. That's just stupid when they do that.

Yes, it does. I'd accept this business model -- It'd be no different than dvd, tv or blu-ray players/sets. Some are higher quality than others. Some have better pictures or features and so forth and so on.
A unified player would mean the games would come first. And none would be dumbed down because of the system you own.
Nope -- just another cash in. Same damn game it's always been. Lame.
It's alright -- better than I thought it'd be, but it's missing so much that these reviews aren't touching upon yet. I'd hate to see it go the smackdown route, but there does need to be a tad bit more depth. And loads more features. It's awesome and I'm enjoying it (for a wrestling game), but there just isn't a whole lot here when all is said and done.

No sequel excites me. It can't possibly excite anyone because if it sells even half assed there will be another one. You know this and I know this. There is no surprise there.
New IP does excite me though. I won't turn a blind eye to the follow up should I like the 1st, but we know what to expect from the sequel -- more of the same in new locations. "YAWN"

If, a very BIG GIANT IF, reviews did matter it wouldn't be some poon dart dong banger working for IGN or any other "pro-site" review that mattered. It'd be the user score and review. The ones who went out and actually bought the game cause they wanted it and then reviewed it. Those opinions might mean something. The opinion of some twinkiedick reviewing a game he's getting handed to him, and then getting paid for it a week later -- No. Don't think so. I haven...
The first line says it all. And since that is true, who's going to step up and buck the trend, break the mold and make a FPS worth playing?
We need to see someone take this genre and expand it. We've played FPS across 3 generations now and nothing has changed. They play the exact same way. It's like the racing and fighting genre -- You play one, you've played them all. Sure some look better than others, but when that wears off shouldn't we have exciti...
It's just not GT5. Sorry. Nothing is.
