That is pretty suspect when you step back and look at it. Why are people so concerned with the way someone else is spending THEIR own money? And why (more importantly how) in the freaking world are they actually disagreeing with that as well???
I could see (or at least understand) if someone was asking for advice or something, but the way some people go out of their way to try to deter someone for buying a certain product while talking up another one is downright creepy.

Very good point you made. It's crazy how people want to point at games being ports apparently as a bad thing when it's convenient to try to knock Nintendo. Yet at the other end of the spectrum hypocritically mum and/or quick to be all over themselves in praise and adoration when it comes to others. Some with even more egregious examples of that argument given that they're not as reliant on first party as Nintendo are yet have tons of remasters and ports in their Library.

I've been gaming since the late 70's... the Souls series of games are hard.
How long you've been gaming is irrelavent. There's folks that have played a "sport" like golf for decades that still suck at it. Just because you find it hard doesn't mean that that we all will or have like yourself. Not every gamer is the same or created equal my friend.
Please don't bring that idiot or random, nonsensical political pounts up in a discussion about video games. It's totally unrelated, off topic and just gums things up while going nowhere. I'm sure that most (including the moderators] don't want to deal with that nonsense going forward anyway. Pretty sure we got enough of that to deal with for simply liking another console and games or something that others don't favor.
A f'ing men my friend. The dark souls difficulty thing is hugely overstated, rhe difficulty in the game irself overrated, and just something that these gamers (or so called gamers these days) want to try and hang their hat on to actually feel like they did something by getting through it. That or these guys only started gaming on a ps2, are millenials or something. I'd hate to see the shatting of poibts or the rage induced suicides from them them trying to take on a Ghosts & Gobli...
Bingo right there. And certainly hits the nail on the head. I think some of these kids just see the mascot/franchise character and just ASSume that pethaps like somr other titles that are used to that not much changes. Mario Bros is as different from Super Mario Bros 3 as Super Mario Galaxy is to that. It's like saying wolves and crocodiles are the same because they follow the same formula of having four legs, are both animals and need water to survive. They of course share similarities, ...
Or very disingenuous at the least. As people surely have no problem wirh formulaic games on their preferred box of circuits. It is hilarious when people try to downplay Nintendo games wirh crap like that when you don't even have to rurn fully around and see them hyped up, wide eyed & bushy tail a waggin' for the same formula of Forza, uncharted, god of war, or any other 3rd person "cimematic" advenrure that looks or plays very similar to most of their other games in thei...
How about we give the machine an actual year on the market first before we go there my friend? For it"s first 8 months it has 2 GOTY contenders made by them personally in it's 1st year for GOD's sake . Something thar no other company (no matter how hard some want to hate or come shill for their favorite brand,) has beem able to claim. It's not like the Wii U or even GameCube got games like Captain Toad, Eternal Darkness or anything overnight.
I"ve quietly noticed that the goal posts are practically on wheels these days given the amount of movement they recieve and some of these folks need lol.
Sooooo much truth in your last sentence there. The Switch's first year has practically been a smorgasbord to what we had for ps4 in it's first several years in comparison.
The movies were great, but have not heard much about this. Gonna have to look into iit and see what it is about? A license like this might be well suited for a strategy game or something of the sort I think
Ha ha I was thinking the same thing myself. Insecurity or realistically NOT ALL that much to keep them busy , Let alone ore the "more than enough" or so that they claim given the irrelevant & weirdly out of place comment.
I used to play my video games out on the porch and in the backyard when I felt like dragging my TV console out there. Does that truly count as portable now too? Unless you're playing like Solitaire or something on the bus, you're not really going to see many people dying to break out their laptop to game.
The same way people always bring up how they want to sit in the comfort of their home and play on the TV is the same thing most would say about gaming on a laptop...
Nah, the hype was real. It didn't get all that love from the actual developers in the industry and all these are viewers for nothing dude. Unless of course you're one of those conspiracy nuts that thinks the whole gaming industry conspired with Nintendo on this lmao. The sad part is that some people actually act like that's true *smh*

People here saying 'what about HZD, or U4?'
Which game was it that got Jim Sterling's site DDoS'd when he gave it a 7 again?
Well I could see you your Jim Sterling example and raise you the freak outs over the order and for the 5.0 review hzd received. Not to mention the talk of boycotting & death threats to some for making games multi-platform or delaying them. We can always point to a few fools here...
It certainly isn't anything unique to this situation, so let's keep it real. I remember all too well people getting ripped to shreds all across the internet the minute they dared say anything negative towards hzd or uncharted. The difference is the inconsistency in pointing out such things.
Yeah, I think you get it in some it up fairly well. Whether you agree or disagree, they just seem to be saying that now after the dust has settled, let's go back and see what could have been done better or what was wrong? Personally I don't find much wrong with the game, but I don't think there's been one perfectly made yet.
To answer your last sentence there though, two words: post history. Someone actually pointed it out to me a little while ago. You'l...
Yeah, it is. Maybe even moreso for capcom who are up and down in staying afloat for their sake actually lol. Definitely a solid game that deserved more recognition and could benefit from all the exposure it could get a second time around However, I don't see how much relevance a pretty niche game with a water color look & a cute white wolf has in a conversation talking about mature games maybe being courted by Nintendo?
Beginning with an uncensored Mortal Kombat 2, funding Bayonetta 2, housing games like Eternal Darkness, Madworld, and nothing eally censored on their consoles for over 2 DECADES NOW (among other things) was proof enough to me. Yet facts like that aren't as sexy. And they tend to have a messy habit of getting in the way of clicks and sensationalist, clickbait headlines.
In all actuality, the only ones who still believe such archaic (and childish in their own right) ste...
