"Bioshock Infinite is getting a lot of play at this show… I talked to some crusty retail guy who said he watched the demo, and he was in tears at the end."
Really? He was crying? Damn, the Big Daddies must be tough in this one.
Trenched seems to be the first *good* exclusive XBLA game in a while. Glad I finally got something to play.
I don't get it. Is this article stating you can use a mouse and keyboard to play games? Surely, I get the FragFX accessories, but using just a mouse and keyboard? How is that possible?
30 years ago to say something like OnLive (hell even the internet for that matter) would exist would be ridiculous.
I appreciate you attempt at dismantling his argument, and for the most part I agree with you. Ultimately though, technology seems to move faster than most of us this is reasonably possible. I for one, would not be surprise to see cloud gaming as the inevitable future.
Good point, I like a lot of those characters.
It's true. There's no politically correct way of saying this--more men game.
Developers often target their games to men, so men play them. It's that simple. If we can get past gender-biases then maybe that will open up gaming to a wider audience--and no, I don't mean more SIM games.
I'm talking about stronger female leads, not women with big boobs who need to be rescued. I'm talking about more meaningful character development, better d...
You can't convince anyone to like a piece of art. Art/experiences are subjective, that's the point. If you played Zelda and didn't enjoy it nothing will change your mind.
Kinect + Shooter does not compute.
This will be the PSN GOTY that no one will play.
I doubt I'll even have enough time for all the PS3 exclusives + multiplats.
Good call man. Too bad they killed a good thing.
Sorry, not hands down. Sure the textures seem sharper, but the PS3 lighting is more realistic. You'll never be able to see the texture difference during live gameplay, however better light provides better moving visuals.
Because the 'freedom of the press' sounds like it's being attacked.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. Game reviewers are notorious for their crappy reviews. Either it's because they didn't play the game in it's entirety, or they didn't like it from the start (ie. a CoD-fanboy reviewing Gran Turismo).
Critics need to be held accountable for their crappy reviews (see: EDGE). If a game sucks, explain why--don't tell me it's...
lol, you failed to read the article. C'mon man.
I don't get it, the first game (War for Cybertron) got a 9.0, if this game is "more of the same", how the hell did it get a 6? WFC was incredible!
It may have been rushed, but surely the mechanics that made WFC great are still in there. The review does say much, just that it "sucks".
You guys haven't played REZ have you?
Yeah, you're really missing out on a great game.
I too though, would like a PS3 version.
I've heard Patcher say some pretty ridiculous things. The point isn't "OMG PATCHER SUX", it's more of a question about why we feel the need to 'celebrit-ize' someone who clearly does not understand some important nuances of the gaming industry?
Is it because we as gamers feel the guesses of a business man some how legitimizes gaming in the eyes of mainstream media? Or maybe people just like him because he starts flame wars?
Eithe...
Thanks for the informative post.
I'm no so sure that 'the community is broken' is any kind of justification. If a control system like bubbles is not being used properly I think it's a cop-out to blame the community. It also makes me question how moderators/administration view their own readership.
It is important to ask why the system isn't being used properly:
Is it because of ignorance? Do people not understand it? Or is...
Nice. Glad to hear this game's dark.
