i think the price thing will be a thing of the past soon enough, when ps3 did it, it was to early to pull it off on a game system, but these days its far more common for 400 to 600 dollar items to sell millions and millions. While 399 might be a bit pricey for nintendos younger crowd I dont see 399 to 499 being a issue for ms or sony this time around.
599 might be pushing it but i doubt it will be a issue as much as it was 6 years ago

they never said you can stream games to it so this isnt llike the nintendo controller nor the vita, unless i missed something, and i didnt see them use it as a full controller during games unless i missed that too. so if thats the case this is useless.
unlike when the ps3 came out high priced, for some reason im starting to like sony route this time, continue with game regardless what ms does and staying true to gamers and knot rushing to bring out a console just to do so, ill pay for a top of the line ps4
ok, I now seriously prey for sony to just drop the bombshell and show a ps4, its gonna be 8 years soon for the 360 and while halo looks incredible , there is nothing left and they have truly just left the core for dust. Right now im more excited for the wiiu and im preying that sony shocks us all. not happy today at all, that stunk
when ps3 was being discussed they talked about a upgradeable console, i bet we see something like that for the ps4. want more memory, just buy the addon and plop it in
sales form this point on will dictate if their is a pricedrop or not, if the sales are yanking the price will drop. At the same time i doubt sony will do a pricedrop on the vita and hurt its image.

after using youtube on xbox versus the ps3 and other apps i for once think the browser on the 360 will actually function pretty well.
my point is if nintendo actually beefed up the wiiu since we last heard of any real news, then that will make many more gamers happy.

i think people underestimate how fast things are moving, and while many of you may be right with the 10 year period before its truly viable that fact is online is viable now, just not to the degree you all expect form gaming on the fly.
not many of us though we would be downloading full blown games on xbox live but its happened in full force and full games are available now to download form our consoles. Look how much live ha changed in 6 years.

so microsoft is finding another way to get the xbox into people hands who might find this way more beneficial to the, then paying outright for the whole package, its a option that doesn't affect you so whats the big deal.
if someone cant afford the 400 plus bucks right now then this might be more feasible for that said individual, this really should not concern us that already own the 360 or plan on buying it outright.
if sony's ps4 comes out and matches live, then ms will stop charging its that simple, while i agree ps3 has this for free and it is more then good enough to play online and do much more, it still isnt as fluid and easy and rich as xbox live, this isnt knocking ps3's service but many can agree live is better in certain aspects and up till now was worth paying 4 bucks a month and even I always fealt and still do that paying twice stinks and ms better watch that.
