These were planned events. They've been doing them since the game came out. If you know you'll be running promotions and events during a game's lifetime, you work out the logistics with all the platform holders *BEFORE* launching the game. You don't do it afterwards and then blame them for your lack of preparation.
Because it would have been so hard to get all this cleared up *before* the game came out. Blame Sony for EA/BioWare's laziness... The very fact that they couldn't be bothered to clear these obviously planned events before the game came out so everything would be ready shows a distinct lack of respect for 1/3rd of their playerbase. It's not Sony's responsibility to get these things done prelaunch.

It's funny that 2k and Activision don't have issues running community events on both platforms. It's a convenient excuse for EA/BioWare to blame Sony for the fact that they didn't include this functionality in the PS3 version from the start.
