On one hand this seems pretty cruel, playing with peoples hopes and all. But if this is true lets make it a PS4 exclusive already.
Where is the US sale info?
There's plenty that can be done with the show version, make it less lovey dovey though and it will be all right.
War makes it fun and it's competition.
True backwards compatibility would be awesome. MS should do it.
@raider69 thanks.
He owns stock in the rival company and Sony has opened the flood gates to developers suggestions and criticism to make PM better. Argument null and void.
Serious question, what is PDZ?
Did those things you mention play a part? Yes. But was it the "killing blow?" No.
Dreamcast was doing fine in America and other places and could have easily kept going. But when the gaming press jumps on you in unison, and goes out of their way to bury you while a certain other company, who wasn't exactly wowing anyone at that time, got a free pass- it's not hard to see why the music stopped. You can argue all you want, the gaming press killed the Dreamcast...
A great and diverse library coupled with backwards compatibility, a built in DVD player that was cheaper than stand alone DVD players at the time, and a great reputation it rightfully earned with PS1 led to PS2's success and "The Golden Age of Gaming."
Also doesn't hurt that the original X-Box was like 500 dollars when it first released and very few outside the western world would have anything to do with them, and Nintendo shot themselves in the foot with t...
If the shoe was on the other foot, as in Xbone having the stronger hardware, we wouldn't be seeing these articles at all.
With that said, this generation won't be decided by hardware or software, but by the makers that have the ability to make innovative and or great games with what they are given. Kojima didn't make a name for himself by making great games on fantastically powered hardware. Kojima made a name for himself by making great games on low powered hardw...
Stupid question, when the controller gets updated does it have to be attached tot he system or can t be done wirelessly?
Back in my day when you bought a game, you bought it ONCE and could play it as much as you want. Will never get the need to buy a game and buy permission to play it.
Reminds me of that Chris Rock joke:
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Point is, like Chris puts it, they're supposed to fight back.
Console gamers still have to pay a high price for digital games. When console gamers get PC digital prices then maybe it'll be liked more then it is now.
Yup, that's it. It's the "grand conspiracy" again- headed by Sony as usual.
It's not an incompetent leadership and an unwillingness to adapt and change in the global market because they think focusing primarily on a tiny island nation (Japan) will solve everything, nor the piss poor planning that lead them to underestimate the difficulties of making games in the HD era, the bad marketing, the big f-you given to third party developers, the piss poor onli...
And a stupid name. Glad the "Wii" name is coming back to bite them int he ass. It was stupid then, it's stupid now- especially with the U at the end.
Plato was a eugenicist douche.
So much for Legacy of Kain.
Why is it automatically assumed that once the new gen comes out, it's out with the old gen? Due to the larger install base and pricing, the last gen can continue on for a while. Atlus for example didn't make games for PS3 for several years before Catherine came out, it stuck with making games for PS2.
This is why PS4 should have been backwards compatible. You could have the best of both worlds and not been bothered by the drought going on right now. It's why I pla...
