Xbox Live friends are the reason. This game seems like a large opportunity lost on Xbox Play Anywhere, though - only reason I'd buy from MS Store digitally.
The Switch is selling better than PS4's launch pace and has broken first-year records in the US and Japan, that can't be argued with.
But the Switch isn't positioned as part of the race. There isn't a concept of "losing" to the other consoles because it doesn't aim to do most of what makes people buy a PS4 for... unless of course, like the author of the article, you ran out of things to write about.
