The game looks pretty bland anyways. The new "battlefront style" has made the last 2 battlefields look like reskins. The last good one was 4, although I really enjoyed hardline too.
To be honest, with the instability and poor mental condition of the people nowadays, I would say this would be more of a detriment than a benefit to gamers. Imagine the seething anger from someone losing, not only a match in a game, but to the perceived "enemy" from the other camp. We already have swatting, hacking, doxxing, and now shootings, without the added fire of imagined slight from an opposing camp.
Personally, I dont care about crossplay, as the number of multiplayer games I play are dwindling. Sometimes it's fun to hop on to a match here or there, but I enjoy relaxing with a story based campaign, or an rpg.
I would like the entire series on the ps4. Especially dead souls. But, I'll take what I can get. I would be more interested in skies of Arcadia, beyond oasis, phantasy star, panzer dragoon saga, and so on, and so on. I have always loved segas franchises and games. They have such a rich and diverse background to grab from.
Sony makes money on software, not hardware. They are profiting off of the ps4 now, but more so off the software. Ps3 was out 7 years by the time ps4 came out. Yes, they will continue support of the ps4, but not 100 percent if ps5 comes out. As I said, there's too many major releases coming to piggyback the announcement, much less the release of a new system for a couple years.
