They are fun for a while. I like the excitement before a match. But after about a month, it gets boring real quick. I've always liked them as an addition to a game, but the onset of multiplayer only titles is a dangerous proposition. When the game goes dead, no matter how much you like it, it's dead.
I dont give a shit about fortnite, or bethesdas' crappy card game. Think of how crossplay would have been if Microsoft and Nintendo accepted it years ago. Now they have 2 or 3 games crossplay and they are pro gamer? Lol.
They brought backwards compatibility, Crossbuy , and were among the first for crossplay in the console industry. Too bad they didn't keep the free online going.
Great game, but a little confusing when picking back up after a while. It wasn't as big when I tried it years ago, and played a little differently. Still a good time, and it is hard not to spend real cash for some of the frames.
I've had to call origin and epic after my accounts were hacked and spent hours trying to prove that I was the owner of my accounts on PC. Or when Sony lost the liscences to their digital comics. I can't even download those anymore. And how about when Nintendo shuts down the wii digital services? Or when they made people buy their digital games more than once for each console? Yeah, digital is great.
Of course the xbonex is the reigning hardware champion. It was a knee jerk reaction to Sony hardware. That said, the ps4 is still the best all around gaming machine, as it can play all multiplats and has it's great exclusives.
I love it. I've hated steam as a monopoly for a long time. The DRM laden, garbage game offerings, sjw and now the censorship issues, I'm glad others are getting a piece of the pie. Not that I really care, as I hate digital gaming all together, but I'm glad the monopoly is being taken apart.
If it was a digital copy, put to disc and sold, Bethesda would have a point. This is just a terrible dick move however, from a company that I would not expect it from. If I ever buy another game from Bethesda, I will make sure it's used.
I'm sure tomb raider will do decent sales. Nothing mind blowing, but probably best in the series. Spiderman is on another level though. Not only is the hype there, spider man has universal appeal, and has been an established character for 50 years. They really aren't competing with each other, but spiderman will definately outpace the competition on release.
It wasn't that great of a series for me. The shooting was so bland, and the weapons felt like they had no impact in the first one. The second one was better, but I backlogged the third one because of its mediocrity. Not everyone can do shooters, and that's ok.
