The og xbox and 360 days were times they were taking more risks with the titles they were putting out. They supported a pretty diverse gaming catalog. They tried at the beginning of the xbone, but it seems like profit and pr became more important this gen. Now, with the focus on services, it's hard to say that they will focus on a diverse library next gen. Although, it's up to the fanbase to actually buy and support those games, which, when it comes to japanese games, they have failed...
People are crying now, but what if this is the first step to create a true alternative to steam? Epic store is literally a month and a half old, so you cant expect it to be a full blown steam right out of the gate. PC gamers are crying about free launchers, but dont have to buy different hardware. The game industry is tired of the lock steam has on PC gaming and you can see it with the different companies doing their own launchers. People are complaining about the lack of choice, but now the...
Let me rephrase. PC as a platform is great for games, but the digital storefronts system is garbage. As a result, it makes saying on PC less fun, and garbage. Remember when, back in the day, you could install a game from a physical copy, on any computer you wanted?
Lol! Played metroid in 1986. It was ok. A bit repetitive but cool. Super metroid was great. After that, I never felt the need to ever play it again. They truly are better with the fanboy goggles on.
They will have a couple big announcements, but people seem to translate that as, " we are going to announce everything we are doing for the next 3 years!" I dont think they would tip their hand that much. Unless they are that desperate.
It's how you sell systems and games. You create hype for a system and games and generate sales by creating excitement about games that you announce. If metroid were announced a month before it came out, 70 percent of consumers would miss out on it. So how long is too long when announcing a game? I'd say 5 years. Like Nintendo just did, starting from scratch. But 2-3 years lead time has been the norm.
I'm pretty sure when I was smashing Cora in mass effect andromeda, she was buck naked. Front and rear. I think there is selective censorship going on, simply because the japanese are a little looser with age and sexuality than in the states. It's hard to make a case for 18 years old when girls are wearing school outfits and going to school. With huge boobs. I bought the games, and have supported them, but they are super risque. Like valkyrie drive bhikkuni. Its damn near incest and yo...
Please. Were you around for when the porn games got banned on Atari? Or how Nintendo was censoring stuff from the 80s until last year? Like I said, this is hardly a new thing, and something that's been happening for years. Now it's a hot button, and people that weren't around then, think it's a new thing.
Quit buying ubisoft games years ago. Same with ea, Activision, and Bethesda. ( except for both evil withins, which were great), and rockstar. Have zero regrets.
It's a joke, considering the outrage over the censorship of some outlying japanese titles on playstation. Most of which the majority of gamers never heard of or played. This stuff goes back to the beginning of home gaming, so it's just funny to me when a big deal is made of it. I've always said if you dont want something censored, support it when it's not censored. It seems like the support in gamers is totally reactionary.
What? Censored? Wait, wait... where are all the fanboys with their fake outrage? I mean its huniepop! How can they do this? It's a national treasure! Steam wont get a single cent from us unless you uncensor huniepop! Amirite guys?!
Wow. Some of those I remember. Even as much as I love my vita, it's almost unfathomable that devs would still release these games for it. I've got a great physical collection, with just a few more to go, then I can let it go as well. It's been a great ride, and one of the best systems I've collected for. Long live the vita!
