It doesn't matter, because the consumer will get better looking and running games than the previous gen. What does matter are the first party games, and games in general. The only thing I really dont like seeing is the service based gaming, and digital. If they are an OPTION, then that's fine. When it becomes required, it doesn't matter what comes out for me.
Got my backer copy a few days ago. Loving it so far. Cant wait for the extras. I wish they did honor my vita copy. I feel that would have been awesome on the vita. But loving my ps4 copies.
I, personally, like when a trophy pops while I'm playing. I dont set out to get all of them, so it's still a fun little reward for me. Trying to platinum a game makes it seem like work.
Lol reading this article. It even states that the ps4 is going to be azure powered. Lol. Seriously, I'm not sure where the data comes from, but it's hard to take it serious.
I mean, what do you expect. Hardware is hardware, the real change comes from the devs. Vr opens the door for some fresh gaming, but the innovation should be from the games. Theres only so many ways to play a game, it's the game that changes.
I really couldn't care less for crossplay personally. I get it, if you play games exclusively online this would be great for you, I guess. I am more into rpg, story driven gaming experiences, so online multiplayer is less of a factor for me. I have enjoyed some rocket league, battlefield, and cod over the years, but not enough to care if crossplay is ever a thing.
I dont think the devs arms are being twisted to go exclusive on the epic store. They might actually enjoy more money for their hard work. It's also possible they get some perks when using unreal 4 which would make even more profit on the game. The more you can lower the development costs, the more the game makes, no matter how much it sells.
