I did read it.
And I don't agree with your points. My question was in regards to how I feel about Destiny, shooting the "shape it how exactly" question back at the author. I don't think I'd be dense enough to comment without reading it.
On one hand, $2B is a ton for a developer. However, minecraft does generate a ton of revenue and most of its sales have come from xbox and pc, so there's that.
Pretty unexpected though.
Well, you have to keep in mind that twitch barely makes any money.
On the other hand, minecraft generates a ton.
For $2B??
I dunno lol, that sounds awfully high...but what do I know.
Planetside 2 is pretty awesome.
That game is like battlefield + Halo, which is very cool.
Shape it how exactly?
There's nothing about Destiny, from what I've played, that strikes me as genre-changing or groundbreaking. It's a good game for what it is, but I'm not feeling anything special about it. Not to mention it gets really quite repetitive.
It's certainly not a masterpiece.
From what I've played, it's good, decent fun with friends (with friends, however). This is not a game you want to play alone. The story is lacking and the missions do become repetitive as there really isn't any sort of variety with the missions.
So far, I'd give it around 8/10.
This is one instance I feel bungie should stay mum on.
If they really are confident in their product, they shouldn't be making such statements.
Erm...I think you just took things a bit too far there.
I'll find out in a few hours.
2+ million on xbox one, around 1M on xbox 360, and I'm not sure about pc sales.
And the x1 version is still high up on the charts each week, so I imagine the word-of-mouth is pretty good.
Ohh...sorry, my bad.
Hmm...yeah, I guess it just depends on the reviewer.
Some people are really into split-screen where they can play with friends on the couch. Others don't. Just depends.
Titanfall's sales of 2+ million alone on xbox one is pretty great, imo. Well, considering the ~5-6M xbox one owners (that's around a third of the userbase, which is certainly impressive for a new IP).
Though I do imagine destiny will sell more because there are more next-gen owners now.
No local split screen.
I think google translator or whatever translator you're using just misinterpreted the article.
Ouch.
Oh well, I'll see for myself tomorrow.
Erm...I'm getting it for my xbox one.
Those exclusive items will end up on the x1 version later anyways.
And the reason I'm getting it for my xbox one is because I don't have a ps4 yet.
I don't understand why these people need to try to convince other people to buy these games for a particular console.
I imagine the "10 year game" thing refers to the entire series of destiny games that will follow over the course of the decade.
crazy good or crazy bad?
I'd imagine there are a fair number of people who'd like good cutscenes in games. It really would do to add immersion to the game.
Happens everytime.
Destiny isn't the first game plagued with this stuff.
