youre right, everyone does have internet access, but not everyone has $2000 worth of networking equipment to handle the load like i do
the point of lan parties is to get togetehr with a bunch of friends and get drunk off your ass while playing video games and having a good time. in order for 32 people to connect to the internet, you need 32 ports on a router to connect them all to. i can connect 48 with $2000 worth of low end equipment
