halo 3 did innovate. the communtity and online of multiplayer is the innovation and the support bungie gives it. as being a 360 only gamer I recongnize that ps3 titles have to live up to enormous expectations.
Heres why: The hype-ps3 games get more hype than do 360 games killzone is getting more hype than gears 2 got.
First party titles: ps3 has some amazing first party titles and you could throw in metal gear 4. Now if you played that game all other great games just seem average now. the quality of ps3 exclusives are so high that if it doesn't innovate like lbp, metal gear,etc...

I don't know if all you misinformed fanboys know this but bethesda never originally had oblivion or even fallout 3 planned for the ps3. they were originally xbox exclusives like morrowind. However bethesda looked at how fast the ps3 install base has grew and they decided to release both on the ps3. Bethesda doesn't hate the ps3 at all. microsoft and bethesda have a dlc agreement set in stone and the idea to remove the ending is being put in the DLC so it probably won't happen for the ps3 ...

listen, Bioware just flat out doesn't develop for the ps3. It would take extra money to tweak the engine for probably a max of 900K sold on ps3, maybe 1 million. It will probably sell 3 million on xbox. The only possiblity would be a timed exclusive ported by EA

However if you don't move the box while it is spinning, then you have no such problem.
