this whole rrod deal caused them to lose billions. companies love money so they wouldn't risk their reputation and billions to get the console out first. your logic sucks. Mass effect was an RPG. almost all rpgs are single-player. killzone is a fps. I will give you bioshock. Obviously you don't know what mass effect is. Competitive multiplayer? are you serious.
think that the media does biased reviews only for their games. However, sites marked down a couple points in gears of war 2 because of no 4 player co-op. It happens all the time. We hear more of this from the ps3 side though because this site is overrun with ps3 fanboys. Xbox fanboys just don't care as much about reviews.
yes reviewer shouldn't be doing this but they are only taking off at most .3 points. Your half-life example just doesn't work. Actual review sites don't give perfect scores(a couple exceptions). Just because g4 gives 100 every game doesn't mean killzone deserves a 10 from ign,etc.
fear 2 didn't get great scores so that doesn't matter. Honestly i can't stand fear games
don't review a game based on what it doesn't have. They did the same with the force unleashed. People took off points because it didn't have a multiplayer. Review what is there, not what should be there.
I hated the multiplayer at first and i didn't play it for a while but everything seems to be fine now. I am going on 11 lag-free games in a row. Match-making is very fast now.
